Personal Hornchurch Pics

Hello all,

 

having been taken down memory lane by way of the new 'Hornchurch FC History' book, I have been digging out a few old photo's taken down the years. Naturally, most of them are from a more recent era but I have come across these couple gems from 1985.

I thought maybe these could start off a thread where others could post any pictures they want to share. Our own 'online scrapbook' so to speak.

 

There are more to come from my personal archive but I thought I'd kick start it with these two.

 

No funny comments please, for I have grown into a rather handsome chap!

Nice pics ravs,for anyone who doesn't know,we were the team in the white.

I may well of been at that game aged 11/12 as I had moved to upminster around then,although me and my dad used to go to the bridge before that as all his mates who were teachers used to drink in the famous clubhouse (I lived in hornchurch before then)

If anyone used to drink in the clubhouse,some of the names may sound familiar

Reg winters,pete anderson (ex hendon),dave leighton,lance thomas,bill coley,dave holden.All are still alive

These being from a great day at home to Berkhampstead. This win (5-1??) sealed promotion to the Ryman Prem in 2003.

Great pics ravs and great memories,remember flying onto the pitch at the end,didn't we play great wakering the week after to win the league but naffed it up.

 

The only downside of looking at those photos is where the fck is everyone now?

Yeah needed a win to pip northwood? and bloody drew - strange things went on after the game if you know what I mean.

Kimble,I heard it got a little bit naughty after the game.Some bloke called Bill the bandit was chasing hornchurch firm around Great Wakering with a pitch fork.Will pin it when I can blud

Nice photos of us before I watched us.

I don't recognise any faces other than young Kimble. Many are young so most must have stopped coming regularly when they were no longer at school, like those who previously came with me. It's a shame when we had so many young fans that many didn't have the enthusiasm to keep coming.
