Whats Happened to all the Amersham & Tokyngton bashers??

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys and girls, where have you all disappeared to, pre season couldnt keep you off the forum about these 2 teams and how badly they would do. !!

Doog is King must have lost his log in? I am missing his regular knocking of Amersham Town. They have had a good start to the season but no sign of any praise for them!!

Tokyngton pre season favoutites for relegation from most posters 6 wins in 7 scoring for fun, have you all forgotten your predictions??

I guess we will see won't we!!! How long can Tik Tok continue in this guise? How long will they hold on to their better players? If Tik Tok don't or can't continue at Amersham beyond this season Amersham won't have that groundshare money to spend will they? Been around to long and seen far bigger better clubs throw everything at it, even win things for sustained period of times and I could make a division out of these sides and they no longer exist.....time will yell in the end ad it always does. Regardless of very hood starts, does that make criticism over the lady few years and rightly so on Manu levels redundant? I certainly don't think so. If those involved down there want to start sucking eachother off over job done after 6 games......fair play. I for one have knocked Tik Tok and I don't change my stance on that, I think the whole situation is a farce, but no doubt they look to have a good side THIS year so far.....

WB you imply amersham are spending groundshare money on players and would struggle without Tik Toks money, i can assure you they do not pay players!! all money raised is ploughed back in to keep the club running and the facilities up to standard. The committee have been focussed on getting the infrastructure right for the last 3 years and now having achieved that are now focussed on the football.

Or rather you're inferring something in my statement?! I was not specifically talking about players "wages" but the club is able to benefit as you have stated financially and is able to spend on things it otherwise wouldn't. That's all I am saying. Sincerely Good luck to you especially it seems you are now happy to put yourselves out there to be shot at you must be very confident and given a very good start (best for you in a long time I guess) maybe rightly so. From what I gather it's a good community club that wants local players and people which is great and very different to how I remember it some years ago....a lot of London lads

The london boys you metioned are long gone and was the cause of a lot of the clubs financial problems stemmed from. Lots of money going out (under a previous chairman) and no support for the club. All changed now. Best start in a good few years, trying not to get too over excited and ahead of ourselves but a joy to be involved with. Lets hope we can keep it going all season.

Following taken from the recent SSML Management Committee Meeting Minutes.

5.4. It was reported that Tokyngton Manor owed the League a total of £320. The committee agreed that if the outstanding sum was not paid by 31 October, the club would be disqualified from the League and all future games would be treated as unfulfilled fixtures. The club is to be charged and told that persistent breaches of rule after a second offence will result in fines being increased by 50%.

Is this amount originally accruing from their previous aborted season or just from this one?

Thanks anyway KB, just thought it would be interesting but didn't like to assume. Maybe someone who knows will say but if it was a hangover you would think the FA and league would have made Tik Toks return to the fold conditional only on it's payment, at the same time, if it is current then doesn't really look as if anything has changed with der man-age-ment at the club.

I predict a withdrawal from the league at some time anyway which WOULD be a shame especially as their competitiveness has been such a pleasing revelation. Have to say having seen them at their new home while some things don't change obviously some have and that was enjoyable!

BUFC. Really played 17 won only 3 lost 12 conceeded 49. I know Phil smith is there and has money so it could turn around but MKs best players at that level are at other clubs including Ampthil and Cranfield and can't see them leaving to join stony. Time will tell I guess and Amersham have barely won a game since early on either!

Fans Focus........non league version of the Sun

no one has signed for anyone....and even if they do there is certainly no money involved, unless they have

shares in the bank of Mum & Dad, which is about as good an investment as UBS atm
