One Month In

Guernsey off to a flyer,as expected,great crowds for their Home games,and yet to let a goal in at home.Crowds up at their away games which is good.Just one gripe, could the Teams who are having 1 pm Kick Offs,move these forward to 12.30pm to maximise attendance for their good,as it is difficult to get to another game on the same day.Hartley Wintney,Westfield,Bedfont Sports,Staines Lammas,Eversley have got their,seasons off to a decent start.Knaphill,Worcester Park,Warlingham have made poor starts for them to be in contention this year.

 

Was expecting big things from Windsor this year,but alas that will not materialise on what they have shown so far.Guildford were the best Team in the C.C.L.last year,and the way they have started this year,must be odds on for promotion.The only possible challengers are Camberley,Hanworth Villa,But the suprise package has to be Horley (hough )Town,but will their bubble burst.

 

Finally a word for our much maligned Officials,at every game I have watched this year they have been EXCELLENT,not a word I use often,yes they could of booked a few more Players,but common sense and a little word has been sufficient.Lets hope that continues at the Arena Wednesday night against Raynes Park Vale.

I agree with KO times 12.30 would give time to take in another game. on guildford will they pass ground grading. or is there work to be done.

THE prem is cut throat. you only get 1 chance. will guildford loose 4/5 i am not sure they will. windsor needed to hit the ground running. nothing for coming 2nd. thats not to say that its all over. but now other clubs need guildford to slip up. windsor have as harry would say some top top players.

All this talk and speculation / rumour-mongering concerning Windsor is quite laughable. I am just thankful to be able to watch and enjoy seeing football at Stag Meadow.

Jeff and Mal........Clutching guys !....... thinking of finishing 2nd and promoted...........lol !!! After watching Guildford at Molesey Saturday, they keep playing like that they will be hard pressed not to be champs, remember they only lost 3 last season and would have been promoted had their ground ''alledgedly'' been acceptable. They have done the work needed on their ground so as early front runners, they are the team to catch in my opinion, with Camberley close by....... but you never know what the season brings you...... !!!

What was it they actually failed on?

For reasons I can understand the club didn't say much at the time, all that was mentioned unofficially was something to do with the turnstiles. Whatever it was, surely it was a relatively small job that they'll be able to do without much fuss.
