Future Quiz Nights

Last nights quiz night,although a good night as usual was poorly attended,with only 6 teams turning up,2 of which were made up of staff.

While I appreciate sundays are not the best day to hold quizzes,the popularity of our function hall hire means we have to look at days other than friday or saturday.In the past we have had a good turnout on a sundays so maybe this was down to the time of year but we really do need more people to turn up to events as they are not only for everyones enjoyment but to raise money for the club etc.

Is there another night maybe we could hold quiz nights other than sunday?? Feedback please

Back on topic, maybe we should have our quiz straight after a big game?

Mind you, sod's law states that there'll be daytime functions the days of the big games, but nothing when it's Wolves v Wigan.

Quizzes on a Sunday are probably better if there is a bank holiday Monday following it.

People then can relax and drink more...

Maybe a Friday night would be better, if there are no functions of course.

There are no fridays left till next year.

It has been decided to go away from fridays simply because we book a date and then at the last minute someone wants to hire the clubhouse and its too good an opportunity financially for the club to turn down.With gates as low as they are,the club needs all the money it can get and to be honest although I believe we are capable of getting out of this division into the connie south,I actually fear that the drop in support could actually see us go the other way eventually.

Yes,can't remember exact date but its about a week before xmas (a friday I believe).Will confirm shortly.

Real bummer that we're booked on Saturday 17th after Aveley, it'd be the perfect date otherwise with us at home (remember we had it booked for Sat 11th last year but were still in the Trophy and were drawn away so we cancelled it...) Mind you, I'm not a businessman and if I was I'd have probably done the same.

 

Probably won't be able to make Friday 16th as things turn out.
