Think I will give NON LEAGUE DAY a miss, does make me laugh Clubs reducing prices at this Level, its cheap as chips already.Put against £500,000000,spent on Transfer Fees in the Premiership,we at this level are like King Canute.Hope the Officials are reducing their costs for the day,now that would be a COUP.

Believe I mentioned this to you already Smudge but at this stage of the FA Cup the officials (certainly the assistants) are paid significantly less than they are for a CCL or Contributory League game. For myself I left home at 11:30 yesterday at got back home at 19:00 for the princely sum of £20. Not complaining about the money as I loved every minute of my afternoon. Please don't though knock the officials for costing the clubs too much. I would guess that the vast majority of the players in the FA Cup yesterday picked up more money

Footy not knocking the Officials in anyway, just trying to put into comparison the vast difference between the haves and have nots.It is ridiculous that you were only paid £20 for a 7 hr trip.Maybe the powers that be should regionalise OFFICIALS as well as teams.THE F.A CUP IS MEANT TO MAKE TEAMS MONEY NOT LOSE IT SURELY.No way could R.P.V. have made anything out of yesterdays game, being the losers. So who gets the Mileage allowance, the Ref as you go in 3's

Whoever drives (normally the referee) get the mileage. Sometimes we meet at a convenient location and then the other two officials would get a small amount for the trip from their home to the meet. As I say, we consider it an honour to get an appointment on any FA competition and are thrilled to officiate whatever the fee. Annoying though when we are accused (not a dig at you) at only doing it for the money.
