So 'survival this season and progress/growth in 2012/13.

Sounds alright to me.

Best wishes to them this season-Simon and Kevin have their work cut out-and will have performed miracles if they can avoid a relegation spot from div one.

Wish them alll well.

can't help wondering where the link to a college in Luton comes from ?

It's a reserve side with the emphasis on youth - there are players up to the age of 24 in the squad at present.

The only reason i ask this, is i surprised some of the first team players who may have been out because of injury are not played in the reserves. Or perhaps they are and i just miss the info. On another note i also sponsor AFC Margate who play on a saturday, this team was originally a MFC youth team, but they now have adults playing in the top league. don't know if it may be a source for some footballers?

Send them along, everyone will get looked at and given a fair crack of the whip - I'll let you know what we decide re: regular training and timings.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your support for the Reserves. Obviously things may be a bit tough for the first few weeks with a new squad but hopefully we can get things sorted and have a successful team with young players that can progress and hopefully show some promise and possibly go on to 1st team football
