Certainly was a cracker! After the two sendings off there was loads of room on the pitch & end to end footy! Broxbourne were the better team in the first half but Hertford should have scored more especially after having a penalty saved!

Hanwell Town 0 v Haringey Borough 3

We were [censored] [censored] not one of our players played well!

We were missing Blaise O'Brien and a few others! :(

Your right, poor performance!! Especially after Saturdays spirited comeback from 3-1 down. We're our own worst enemies tho, nothing we could do about their 1st. Quality volley from edge of the box, but the other goals were soft. Take nothing away from Haringey, they battled and played to their strengths. We were missing Blaise & JP, but no excuse we had more than enough to win the game, we just didnt turn up.

I was at the Hanwell game with my brother as I got another ground. A full report and pics etc will go on my blog before the weekend.

Basically I thought the difference between the sides were that Haringey had more pace and a cutting edge up front after the first goal went in. The home defenders seemed to scream for offside for everything (one in particular), when the midfielders and forwards made good runs from behind. Could just as easily been 1-1 at half time if that sitter hadn't been scooped over.

The second half seemed similar. Hanwell had plenty of the ball but little penetration. Having the penalty saved to a top class ave wasn't a help but Boro always looked more likely to break through. A top third goal I thought. Just was never going to be Town's night. I think the ref lost a bit of control and used his whistle a bit too often towards the end and made some dubious decisions because of pressure put on him, but it is a thankless job.

All in all as a neutral I really enjoyed it. Smart ground, clubhouse could do with a tidy but please not to the extent of the modern monstrocity at Hillingdon. Was a bit surprised to visit the home of The Geordies and find no Newcy Broon behind the bar! Excellent value for £6 inc a fair programme and a decent enough match. A good advert for the league as are most games I've seen over a couple of years.

It seems like the World and its wife was at Reynolds Field last night, this is from another’s Forum:

Also at Hanwell and agree with the very good report. Without the prolific Blaise O'Brien Hanwell did indeed lack that little something up front as they were outfought by a decent Haringey side. Always enjoy my visits to Hanwell as they usually try to play football.

Interesting that Barnet Ladies have moved out after 14 years back to Underhill in order to save costs with the Ladies reserves being disbanded altogether. Hanwells money stream will no doubt be affected but hopefully the Southall groundshare will help a bit.

Friendly welcome as always and I look forward to a couple more visits sometime this season. Just a warning, drive slowly in the potholed car park.
