Tuesday morning, has anyone heard how George Coyle is? Looked a very nasty injury he had. Be a big shame if he's out for awhile.Let's wish him well for a speedy recovery.

On to a lighter note and the highlight of the game apart from Paul Coyne's wonder goal, was the hilarious moment when Danny Burnell kicked the bin in frustration, and him and the nearby supporters got covered in paper cups and such like. All captured on film. They should send that one to 'You've been framed', it was very funny!

On to the game, I thought Burnell and Sonner were excellent yesterday.Charlie Mpi made another impact when he came on.I thought all the Slough team played well especially Sweeney,Murphy,Logie and Marsala but wasn't Marlow poor.Thought they were a shade better than Fleet Town, though.

On a down note, we still picked up some needless bookings from swearing which seems counter productive to me.

However at least, the players all seemed committed to obtaining a win yesterday, which we haven't always seen in the past.

The competition for places in the team, is hotting up and this in turn is bringing out the best in the players.

Long may it continue.

Firstly to confirm that we seniors were admitted for £4 despite somewhat quizzical looks from the guy on the gate..........for us at that price definitiely value for money !

Thought we looked the part for most of the two weekend games.both 3-0 scorelines being about right even if the boys missed enough chances to have doubled those scores--------and two clean sheets.........ne keeper beginning to inspire confidence both from the fans and more importantly from the defence

Agree with the comments about the yellow cards again...........especially as they are often for the old fault of not keeping mouths shut

Do we give players a rest on Sunday and let players like Mpi and Abbey have more match time............talking to Alex Brown on Monday he was suggesting that it will hard for returning players and existing benchmen to get back into the side and cup ties may offer the chance to redress this

This whole "dropping" thing is painful!!! Never once has anyone questioned Burnell and Sonner as a partnership and called for either of them to be dropped... All people are saying is that they hope Mpi and Abbey don't leave through lack of game time as all 4 have a huge part to play this season!!!

the season is long and hard of course we need for example all 4 of Sonner Burnell Mpi and Abbey and Cookham Rebel your absolutely right we have to keep everyone happy to keep that strength in depth

you have to feel sorry for those who are sitting on the bench more often than not but we have already seen how many injuries you can pick up out of the blue. just about knuckling down and waiting for your chance and when it comes make it impossible for Bateman to not pick you

Personally I would stick with a winning side. I appreciate the reserves frustration but if you take alex brown's point the reason he will struggle to get back in at the moment is logie has been excellent. He'll get another chance but in my view it should be when loss of form, injury or suspension take effect rather than making changes for the sake of it.

Cracking result yesterday and another great team selection from Steve Bateman. Good to see our target man Danny Burnell

grabbing the first goal. Who can you drop on this form? Answer: nobody.

Yes,you're right Windsor Rebel it was a cracking result, and maybe you're being just a little facetious about the target man ! lol !

Slough have started off well and that can only be good for confidence. You can only beat the teams in front of you.

I would like to add some words of caution, however,as I feel some of the teams we've met so far have been distinctly average. Rugby Town away game should be a greater test as their record appears to be the similar to ours, although we seem to be scoring more goals.

I think we should start with the same side that started against Marlow for the Binfield FA Cup match,as nothing can be taken for granted in a cup tie.

Chris Sliski mentioned on here awhile back that we shouldn't judge Slough until 10 games have been played but looking at the Slough fixture list I don't think we are going to know much until after November 26th after the game with Ashford Town. November appears to be a very challenging month, with the teams we've got to play then, and let's hope we're still in the FA Cup !

I think if we can get some valuable points on the board in October, then maybe that will keep us in good stead for a very difficult period of action in November.

Onwards and upwards..........

Yep, you don't change a winning team. Logie at centre back could be one of the finds of the season.

Hardly a find,Ian,he has played as a defender[right back] before for Hayes FC in 2006. Not sure but thought he played as a centre back for Hayes and Yeading in the Conference South. Will go and check this out.

Think he prefers to play in centre midfield. Don't know for a fact that, will have to ask him.

Funny enough,he appears to be a very versatile player and one of my favourite players in the Slough team. If we were ever short,no pun intended ! lol ! I would like to see what he would be like as a centre forward, as he certainly has an eye for the goal and scores with his feet and head.So you never know we may see him in that position one day! if we keep picking up these injuries.

He seems to be building up a good understanding with Simon Sweeney, who in the Fleet game certainly provided Logie with plenty of cover.Sweeney is a class act and could still be playing in a higher division.
