Excellent performance. Very reminiscent of Saturday as we were well in charge but the goals to reflect that came late in the day. Coyne's goal likely to be goal of the season. Felt rather sorry for Fanner who was given limited protection.

 

Only downside a nasty looking facial injury to Coyle who was taken straight to

Hospital by his parents I believe.

George suffered a broken nose and fractured cheekbone whilst playing for Chesham reserves/youth a few years ago, hence the concern. Hope it's not a repeat injury.

Very much the sort of performance that we've lacked over the last two seasons. Not overly spectacular but very hard working, no weaknesses across any areas of the pitch, tight at the back and always a potential threat up front. Fantastic goal from Coyne. There's not many players in our division who could have scored that in terms of the vision to see then the ability to execute it.

 

And that's four clean sheets this season - I think that beats last season already and we're not out of August yet!!

That was almost a carbon copy of the previous game.

 

For much of it we were comfortable yet unspectacular, and wrapped the game up with 2 late goals. I felt that we needed a spark of something special to get the second goal as I felt we lacked penetratuion, but and we got it! Early contender for Goal of the Season no doubt.

It takes a great deal of skill and vision to score a goal like Coyne did today, he looked very formidable with Adam Martin today, if we do go back to 3-5-2 when Brown and Woozely are fit, with Logie added to those 2 as the central midfield 3 then we will take some stopping!!!

Good, solid performance from all the players today with a sublime 45 yard goal from Coyney the icing on the cake.

 

At the moment we are looking so solid in defence I think it will be very difficult for SB to change things when Woozie and Brown are fit but hey, what a great position to be in!

 

Special mentions for James Warrington in goal who is looking like a real gem of a find, Dom Marsala who had his best game today for us and Charlie Mpi who again looked very dangerous when he came on and again very nearly got his name on the score sheet .

Very similar game to Saturday, and very pleased with the overall performance. Every player played well and we got the goals that our dominance in attack and defence deserved. I thought that Dom had a very good game today, as did Murphy and the others in our midfield.

Fantastic goal from Coyne too, looking forward to watching that on the highlights!

Well done to the whole team, the only negative being the potential injury to Coyle. Hopefully we can keep this up!

i think marlow took the mick today with the prices again coz im a student and i came with 2 disabled people and had pay full price and where every other ground in our league is £4 and we had to pay £8 which is totally out of order and they take our money and there ground is a tip and dis-abled unfriendly and i think it is unfair.

 

i hope slough can keep it up

be interesting to see if Marlow charge £8 to everyone when it isn't a team thats bringing quite a few away fans. could be another Romulus was it on our hands

 

overall very pleased with the last 2 performances. the awful Burnham defeat could have really damaged the team morale and form but we have put in 2 highly professional performances against Fleet and Marlow and the sort of peformances that the top promotion contender teams produce

 

no doubt in my mind we have much room to improve and yet two 3-0 wins in a few days have been acheived without being spectacular

 

with Warrington looks like we have found ourselves a superb young keeper. been highly impressed

 

Logie and NBH were solid as you like

 

Murphy and Sweeney Mr reliables once more

 

Martin still needs a bit more fitness but he is class

 

Coyne has definitely upped his effort levels this season it seems. his goal was sensational. Fanner paid the price for playing so far out of his goal BUT in fairness it was partly due to the fact he was trying to compensate for having a truly dreadful defence ahead of him

 

Marsala had probably his best game and looks like he will only get better once his fitness improves a bit more

 

Sincs Sonner and Burnell all done a good job

 

shame that Coyle may be out for a while hopefully his facial injury isnt major

 

overall squad fitness levels seem pretty good. no doubt the goals later on in the game are partly due to us keeping the effort levels up longer than the opponents

 

just wish we would learn to start killing games off a bit earlier HOWEVER this season we wont pay quite as much due to the defence being much more secure these days

Just seen the highlights which reinforces what an amazing goal Coyne's was. I thought at the time it was beyond the centre circle but he was actually only just over the halfway line. A brilliant piece of skill.
