Hastings v Margate Updates

Went there expecting three points, but would've taken a point at half-time after, quite frankly, a joke of a refereeing performance put us on the backfoot. Their no 5 (who was later sent off) should've walked in the first half - an absolute scythe that resulted in only a yellow. Then Stubbs was sent off for aboslutely nothing.

All that aside, wasn't a dazzling performance, but thought we were the better team throughout. Disappointing way to concede both goals, but even when it was 10 vs 11, I still thought we were the more dangerous. Played a very high line in the second half, putting lots of pressure on their defence, often resulting in long balls to nowhere.

Corneille very impressive, defensively and going forward. Still, all in all, given our horrendous record down there, not too bad a point, I guess. As long as we can stay around top 12 or so for the most part of the season, it only takes a good run at any point, and it is very easy to shoot up this league.

Great point-i certainly tend to forget that.

Top half by christmas with say 34 points means you are still 'in the mix
