Talking of crowds what was the gate at farnham on monday by the looks of the trs video hardly a bumper crowd for a very local derby ,i see the gate at egham v city on saturday was 85 ,does that include the players and officals ,managment etc ,because from where i was standing it looked about 40 plus .

Milf Hunter to say that 2 players from the westfield squad has more ability then the whole feltham squad is a silly comment and then to follow it up with one of the players dads said they were the worst hes seen this season shows how much he really knows about football otherwise Feltham would not have won 4 out of 5 games so far and only be 3 points behind your westfield with the 2 outrageous players.

 

Dont get me wrong you deserved to win the game, we were missing some key players and i am aware so were you! Our captain did make a bad challenge but it was far from a dirty game. If im being honest i thought that your wingers were both good players defence was decent. Apart from that thought your midfield was easy to play against didnt recieve one tackle which is unusual as i am used to getting smashed most games and im sure your CF was a CB for cobham last year ?

 

Nice bunch of lads you got down there and all the best for the season hope its a different outcome when we play you next!

Have to say, being a member of the management team at Westfield I wouldn't say that Feltham are the worst side we have played this season. As has been admitted by Feltham posters we deserved the win on the day, but it was by no means a walk over. I personally don't think that there is a huge difference between any of the sides that we have played this season and I would imagine that will be the case for the majority of the season.

 

I don’t know who Milf Hunter is, and whilst his comment about 2 of our players may not exactly be the most accurate, it was responding to a comment which was also ‘silly’!

 

I am not naïve enough to think that because we have started well we are all of a sudden world beaters, but I think that it’s wrong to make derisory comments about a side that have beaten you 2-0, which (in my opinion) could have been a couple more.

 

Sides that have nothing more than the ability to work hard don’t tend to win games on too regular a basis at any level. The fact that we have kept 3 clean sheets in the last 3 games can be accredited to our players working hard but I am sure that every team would expect their side to work hard not to concede goals……..

 

We have scored at least 2 goals in each of our games this season and in most games created a number of other good chances which we haven’t taken. I would argue that this is not a sign of a side with nothing more than hard workers in their side.

 

After 2 hard working performances and great results against Feltham and Lammas last weekend, we have another tough game against Eversley this weekend which will again be a test for our new squad and set up down at the Field. It is our 1st league game at home this season and with the new facilities. All those without a game (getting my info about that from Smudge’s post) are more than welcome to come down and have a beer in our new bar.

I agree fully not much between any sides in this division and depends on who fancies it on the day. Look forward to playing against you again, good luck with your first game at home and see you again in the season.

If I am being honest, after the 1st 10 mins I thought it was going to be a long morning for us as you looked like you were going to be decent, but after you missed that early chance you faded and didn't seem to get it together after that. Whilst I would say it wasn't the strongest performance from the sides we've played against, you can see why you have got the hype that you have pre-season and that you are going to do a lot better than you did on Monday morning!
