I am delighted to see the good folk of Eton Manor promoting themselves in such a positive manner this season and we can only wish Reg and the committee the very best of luck in negotiating a new and permanent home. But for the short stay at the "Wilderness" , I have a feeling that you must have the longest record of any club in the country at "sharing" - good one for anyone reading this to pick up on ... do you know any different ? ... I think it was 1968 you left Ruckholt Lane ? There is no doubt in my mind that Eton Manor are one of the greatest names in British Non-League football and I only hope that you will remain so ! We are proud to have you in the League !

Mr Chairman, thanks for your kind words and we are all proud to be associated with the EESL, Reg is currently enjoying his football more than ever, as he is a man of leisure and not the one man band of the past. Well said Rifle. The Manor is full of committed people, it is obvious to me as a new comer to the Club that the people involved are doing everything within their power to push the club forward. The likes of Kirk Whitelock, Larry McDonald, Alex Lee and dependable Reg Curtis, plus countless others will in no doubt support the club both on and off the pitch.

 

What strikes me more then anything is the tremendous loyalty these individuals show for one another, each one a strong character. Plus the players show sincere respect for the Management and staff alike.

 

I am proud to play my small part for the Club. Your words Mr Chairman only reinforce my feelings for the Club and the people involved.

 

I am truly optimistic for Eton Manor, I am a true believer that if you have good people around you then anything is possible, and as I have said the Manor is full of good people with good intensions where self reward is not their priority.

 

Whitelocks Warriors are hungry for success.
