Well, it was 10 v 13 today.

 

I know we all moan about the officials at every game, even to the extent of occasionally getting it wrong when the ref doesn't but games like today make a mockery of football.

 

Canvey beat us when they didn't really deserve to but at least there wasn't any controversial decisions spoiling it for us.

 

I just feel deflated by today's game. I think the referee and his assistant on the Eastside need to have a long look at themselves and their performances.

 

A game we should have won, a bit concerned that we couldn't turn pressure into goals in the last two games but early days yet. How many saves did Elliot have to make? I think that shows how the game went.

What gets me is that someone from the club actually said the ref didn't do anything wrong.The penalty was a joke,if a ref can't tell someone falling over someone from a foul then they shouldn't be in the job.

The sending off was a sending off,frankie needs to learn that although he gets the ball,if you are studs up you go.

Their second goal was offside but the linesman was way behind play.

Why on earth is a player allowed to intentionally punch a ball and kick a ball away and escape a yellow is beyond me.Also the kicking tam got was ridiculous

Disapointed with the game.

The pen shouldnt even been allowed as for their second goal, blatently off side.

Why do we always have to get refs that spoil the game by making stupid decisions??

 

Any way we have only played 3 games, no one wins the league after 3 games and im sure we will bounce back sooner or later.

I personally hope that we bounce out of this league into conference south!!!!!

As for the sending off, I didn't think it was a red either, and he was given a straight red wasn't he?

 

Think if we'd gone on winning at the break, would have ended up a hiding, Horsham simply wasn't at the races in the first 45.

I felt we gave our best efforts today after the change of goalkeepers, but unfortunately we didn't get the ball in the net today so we couldn't win. Anything about the referees today is not that important really as it only cost us 1 pt. It looked like a "set up" penalty from what I saw and the ref gave it.

 

Roll on an interesting game on Monday and a good day out.

He clashed in the box with Elliot when trying to collect a cross. Elliot then went in goal for the remainder of the match.

entertaining game all the same, thought horsham were well organised but lady luck has deserted us, worrying thing 2 defeats on the trot then away to lowestoft then the cops

Set up being a good description,it was a complete fckng con.

The sending off was a definate red,its how we used to tackle but you just can't tackle like that.

 

On another note,myself and at least one other person were spoken to about the bad language.I will put my hand up to using the c word on more than one occasion and while I apologise for any offence caused,but when we get pathetic referees who seem to be so incompetent that they shouldn't be allowed to referee sunday kids football let alone ryman prem,I am afraid I may go over the top on occassions.One thing I am not responsible for though is other peoples language,that's their own responsiblity and not mine.I understand that standing next to the directors box is not ideal but to be honest,swearing will still happen,it happens at every ground and we wasn't the only fans swearing today by any means.
