VERY good game at the Arena.

 

Some rather rough challenges went unpunished and two somewhat poor booking decisions could have spoiled the game. But they didn't. It was entertaining despite the scoreline.

Just was not at the races let down by a few players, 6 players missing today but no excuses on the day Westfield deserved there win on the day but I'm sure we will be a different animal in a couple of weeks

Egham Town 1 Guildford City 1. GC took the lead with a Dan Moody curler on 29 minutes, but a minute later Dale Marvell headed in our equaliser. The things that CIty's Gancherv got away with were unbelievable. MOM our keeper Paul Borg. Not bad for a side with no recognisable centre backs until we put on a 17 year old 15 minutes from time for his first team debut. Both sides were determined to win, so it was a good, open game, but City have lost their perfect record.

Frimley 0 v 5 Guernsey

1st half guernsey had a lot of the ball but both keeper with little to do about 40 mins 1 v 0 good finish

2nd half and we had a 1 on 1 witch the keeper saved then a good header saved very well if you don't take them like last week you pay and did we pay Guernsey got number 2 and we fell apart Guernsey played some great stuff and ripped us apart

agree with tempest ,the egham keeper and defence did wonders at the back( inlcuding clearing one of the line in the second half )to deny city a plenty of chances ,egham had a better second half exposing guildford down the right hand side and having some good chances themselves ,bad day at the office two points droped

Woody is good player never understood why he didnt really start much for Cove's firsts he was in ressies half time but was clearly gd enuf.

Btw according to the 'Kingfield cat', Woking have gone 1-0 up for all you locals that are interested. Not sure when and how a cat learnt to use twitter...

Farleigh 1 Knaphill 4

 

Cardona x2, Fox, Slimane

 

Knaphill got off to a flying start with a long diagonal ball from Gamble into the box which Cardona beat the on coming keeper to head home. Then both teams created numerous chances with Farleigh hitting the cross bar from close range but the score stayed the same. 1-0 HT.

 

2nd half Knaphill started the brighter again with Cardona getting his 2nd. 5 minutes later Prendergast pulled 1 back for the home side which gave them the lift they needed and looked on top for the next 10mins untill Fox scored a great header to put Knaphill 3-1 up. After that the Farleigh heads seem to die and the vistors increased their lead to make it 4-1.

 

Better performance once again and back to winning ways! Bring on Eversley on Monday!

Cove very poor in first half, how it was only 1 nil to Molesey, I don't know. Molesey scored very early in 2nd half - and then Cove came back into the game and played far better, but Molesey still had the better chances.

It was actually 1-0 at half time with Chicks scoring 5 minutes into the second half to go 2 up.

Goals from Embalo, Turner and Hughes gave Wood all three points.
