Wars v Worcester park

Dour first half with neither side looking like scoring but skipper Jack Higgins gave a way a needless pen right on half time which saw WP go in 1 up.

6 mins into 2nd half wars lost the influential Christos Nicoli with what looks like a shoulder or collar bone injury. Two minutes later it looked as though Wars had equalised but the effort was ruled out by the officials. It looked like Wars had run over a black cat when minutes later WP struck a superb second. For the last 25 minutes though Wars started to play and were pressuring constantly but as time marched on it was starting to look like Wars would end their 5th staright game without scoring, but with 12 minutes left Kieran Diaz got through and lifted the ball over the keeper. At last !!! duck over !! Wars off and running, and it got even better with 2 minutes left they won a free kick just outside the box and Terry Linacre fired home a cracker to earn a share of the points.

A few clubs above will be happy with a draw i think

We were so disappointed with the draw. to be honest we should have closed the game and won it before Wars got their first. Normally a point away would be a good point but tonight it was like we'd snatched a draw from the jaws of victory. Definitely should have been 3 points for us.
