I don't know what to say about Molesey at the moment...

Lose to Horley on the opening day, which was disappointing but understandable when we had a player sent off so early... Then we seemed to get it together beating Banstead and South Park away from home. Then just when you think we can kick on we get ripped apart by Egham 3-0 in the FA Cup and then tonight we lost 4-3, when in truth we very rarely seemed to be that close to them.

We aren't playing that well... BUT... Apart from the Egham game we have scored at least two goals each match (Usually three) but we are conceding so many!

This team just haven't clicked which is strange when apart from three players its the same team from last season who played so well all year!

Never been the case when I have officiated TC. Coming through the ranks it was always advised not to talk to a player you are sending off but to tell a player why he is being cautioned but to be honest they always know.

Thankfully I'll be resting for that one mate. The old body takes time to recover so it will be feet up with tea and biscuits tomorrow night. Have a good game. Pitch is in good nick. Dan Bennett has been in good form. Just gotta sort our defending out.

JJ sounds very easy to say that. but where do you start defending. was also at the game, and feel it will be a long season for chertsey. any reason that pagey lost armband in the second half.

same for me, but there are these young refs who seem to think that flashing a card is fine and thats it. Surely they have seen the trouble that it caused the football league guy who sent Schmeichel off (not saying thet Schmeichel was not in the wrong).

Players are told not to follow the example of the professionals, but the refs are now picking up the bad habits.

Heard Hartley played most of the second half with 10 men ?

Is there a game in the league when they finish with 11

First game against Staines Lammas no one sent off, harshly sent off against Guernsey, deserved the red against Spelthorne, no one sent off against Petersfield and then last night it was a two-footed tackle which the Knaphill player appeared to do as well.

I wouldn't say a discipline problem yet, but it is not a good start.

Knaphill 2 Hartley 3

Hodgsen & Woodley for Knaphill.

Very even first half with Hartley taking the lead from a corner mid way through. We equalised straight away from the resulting kick off through a great 25 yard strike from Ricky Hodgsen low into the bottom corner. 1-1 HT.

2nd half the visitors came out stronger and went ahead again almost immediately. Then 5 minutes later increased the lead with an effort that took a massive deflection and looped over Shelley leaving him stranded. That shook us up a bit and with 25minutes left Craig Woodley struck a powerful 20 yard free kick into the corner. Game on! Then within minutes Hartley were reduced to 10 men due to a two footed challenge (fair red card in my opinion). Knaphill then pushed and pushed but couldn't find the net and Hartley held on to the points.

Another frustrating night at Redding Way but a better performance than Saturday which we will take into the must win game at Farleigh.

And shortly after going down to 10, Hartley were awared a penatly when the Knaphill goalkeeper pushed our striker when a corner was delivered, but he redeemed himself by saving the resulting kick.

Knaphill won't be worried about their start as they usually go on a 20 game run in the second part of the season!!

Funny you say that Jamie as i've literally just been speaking to my brother and my words were "Played 4, lost 3, won 1. Not a good start!! However we never start well. Just go on record breaking winning streaks and unbeaten runs towards the end of the season just to make it more difficult for ourselves" .

Think we just like to make the league more exciting thats all!

To be fair aswell Cards you've had a pretty tough start too, you've probably 3 teams out of the top 5 I'd say! I'm sure your be fine as I say you have a great record after christmas and if you get a run this side of christmas your surely be contenders. Also think teams will be beating each this year!

The goals all came from the back 4 plus keeper either making mistakes or not dealing with crosses. Yes defending starts at he front but not in this case. When we got Moses Spencer back from injury and a settled back four, i'M CONFIDENT WE CAN PLUG THE HOLES AT THE BACK AND CONTINUE PLAYING GOOD ATTACKING FOOTBALL and get some results!

Pagey didnt lose the armband. He voluntarily handed it over to me for the whole 2nd half for reasons I wont go into on here. He is still Chertsey captain.

You are correct in that some referees think it is ok just to show a card and nothing further. They should always be asking the player for his name

I've watched you twice this season. You've a decent side but look terribly vulnerable at the back - especially from set pieces. Keeper, centre half's not attacking the ball, no organisation, everyone picking up anyone. Teams even at the bottom of the table will cause you problems at set plays.

I think this is where you're management will need to show their worth and get you organised. Otherwise no promotion for you.

CARDO where is your brother playing these days

At the moment, nowhere. He's not been fit for a long time but is getting closer now. I think he'll go back to Farnham but he hasn't decided yet. He's mentioned he may hang up the boots at 27 but as soon as he's fully fit there is no way that will happen!

JUST in the interest of fairness. i think you might have had a hand in the goal, when you and boswell failed to clear your lines. and i assume the centre back came off for reason you would rather not talk about as well.
