What a stupid comment Paul. The name has nothing to do with Tony Lazarou and I suggest you do some research.

Papa Lazarou would make a good candidate for our manager though IMO.

Hello Dave!

If you had gone to last nights game, you would have seen a very good performance in the 2nd half with 10 men, although some very naive defending having just equalised in the 3rd minute of injury time led to the undoing of the hard endeavour.

The lad who scored the winner won't strike the ball like that again probably in his career, and the way that 4 or 5 Town players slumped to the floor suggests how gutted they were to have lost the game.

I note that Mr Newing was sitting in the stand last night, is he serving a touchline ban? If so, then how much do you expect him to do when he's not on the bench to steer the ship as it were (that analogy is for you Steph!).

SN has one more match ban v Maldon.

Last Sat = Luckluster performance, but cannot say that last night.

A lot of effort and some good football, undone by some poor defending, some interesting Referee decisions ( both ways ) and my MOM was the Tilbury Keeper who pulled off a few great saves.

For the casual onlooker a 7 goal thriller - For a Town supporter a deal of frustration, but we just have to keep going.

For what it is worth I am not a keen supporter of Kirby in mid-field. Good leader and a good defender, but midfield ?

Finally, Tilbury sit top of the table with 2 good wins - so credit to them.

OT

Fair summing up. I also think that the sending off of Leon meant that we were unbalanced. Two of Tilbury's goals were created from the right flank when the attacker had lots of time in order to 1) make a pin-point cross 2) shoot from way out on the touch line a rocket of a goal. If Leon or an other had been on that flank we may not have seen those two goals.

As for town - no need to be discouraged yet. Our next game against Maldon has be salivating as Maldon have had a worse start then us. It is true we are level on points however they have lost to Chatham and drew with GWR. GWR lost to Cheshunt. If we lose on Saturday it is back to the drawing board and there really is something wrong. At the moment it is clear that the league is wide open this year and many teams have improved and should not be written off.

Match highlights will be on the cold end tonight. apologies for delay but the small matter of my 4 year old's birthday yesterday has delayed me somewhat. Worth waiting for even though we lost!

Burning the midnight oil to get these highlights done....11 minutes of them including all seven goals... Looking back from a neutral point of view it was a fantastic game especially the last 30 mins or so...

Look out for......the sending off (from 2mins 35secs) which was fair and right...however we all know Leon didn't go out to injure anyone and it was just one of those challenges that happen now and again...his reaction when leaving the field showed that........Tilbury's first goal (from 3mins 52secs), the two penalty decisions (Were they or Weren't they??? 7mins 5secs & 8mins 32secs) and Henty's fantastic last gasp winner from 35 yards out (a better strike you will not see all season.... from 9mins 59secs)
