Margate fans and Jeff's History site

Those of you that have read Jeff's site know how good it is.

 

This includes a section where supporters and ex-players put their thoughts and memories down for others to read.

 

I would ask all supporters especially the older ones (cue Jim !!!) and much older ones (cue Tam!!!) to add their memories to the section as you might stir up the grey cells of past games and events in the clubs history for others.

(eg the FA Trophy match away to Runcorn in 1979 and the fans singing "Theres a coach coming in" from the film Paint Your Wagons at 6am outside the ground on seeing the bus coming along Hartsdown Road to take us there..........yes we were mad then too!!!)

So basicly in 1979 you were about the same age as the current Chior and doing the same job and I was a year younger than my Arthur ( was there a youth section back then?)
