Sandhurst Town

Went to watch their Cup Tie v Thame Utd which they lost 3-2,after watching them play last week against Croydon ,where I was impressed by their performance, they had at least 7 players missing.

Had heard a rumour before the game that Dean Thomas had resigned, but seeing him in the dugout, thought that the rumours were unfounded. But alas they were not, when I spoke to him post match.

Must be said by me that I was saddened by the news.Dean had built a strong unit at Sandhurst,a together side, and No he doesnt have another offer in the pipeline, and the players who left ,did not want to get Cup Tied.

A bad week for Sandhurst after the lights,Reminds me a bit of Merstham 2 seasons ago, when the Committee never gave Mick Sullivan their full backing.

Best of luck DT10,in whatever you do in the future, will not be long before someone gives you a call for sure.

Sad to say it's a case of 'used' to be one of the best clubs in the league. The club is now a one man band with many good & long term servants of the club having walked away, and standards not being maintained. Chairman need to understand that running a club is a team effort, with 'people management' skills being vital. Treating others with disrespect leads to the kind of issues that Sandhurst now face. As well as loosing a very promising manager, understand that a number of key players have gone.

Sad but true - key players including skipper Michael Buck (headine story about him in todays NL paper), Alex Jeffers, Danny Seaward, Calvin Thomas, Louis Hibbert & Nathan Miles.

Bucky & Seaward have apparently joined Didcot, Jeffers to Windsor, Hibbert to Camberley - not sure where the others have gone.

Good luck DT10 wherever you end up - rumour has it a return to playing??

And even more recently than that.

Oh. :( Only met the chairman briefly at the first game but he seemed a decent sort. Sad to hear this.

Wow, I'm shocked. There's a lot of very good players gone there. A team that in pre-season looked very hot now...hmm...

Is your boy still there?

Sorry to hear this DT. From the few games I saw in pre season and against C&HU and Guildford, you had built a decent side. Good luck in the future.

DT10 what can I say ! You were doing so well after your first management position last season. I really don't want to go on about the reasonings why you and players have left, but sounds quite serious for all to be leaving.

Shame 'cos having been to Sandhurst a few times, they genuinaly a really nice club....... thats now them and Cove who have suffered this season so far....

So seems you're going back to playing then ? ....will probably catch you on the circuit DT10 !

Good luck !
