V chertsey

Have you looked at the pictures?? Your player is on top of our number 9 as number 9 of Chertsey was bending down! There is no way our number 9 who is the captain who is a good sportsman would cause any injuries as he went to the players who went down. And you can see it's obvious that it's your player fault for jumping over our number 9 to get the ball, and anyway on the pictures it says that he landed heavily so again can't have anything to do with number 9

HR, I'd taken it from the Southern League site which had been reported in by the home side and usually with difficult names they are spelt out on the reporting of the result so had presumed it to be correct, if a little odd on the spelling!

Hayley, it's pretty simple really. Brown has jumped for the ball and Page has continued to back into him which has caused Brown to collapse in a heap which is why Page got booked.

Page is NOT a thug just a little bit annoying when he kept falling over when any sort of challenge was made on him.

Also trying to get a player sent off for an accidental collision is not very sporting is it?

Oh My God!! New league, only played 3 games so far so we played great. But if our player actually did anything then it was by accident but i honestly can say that i didn't see him doing anything apart from ducking when your player was all over him. Don't you think we should just forget about it and move on and think about the games on Tuesday?

Just trying to add a bit of common sense into why the Ref thought Page deserved a booking.

Your right, lets move on.

BTW I thought your best player was your right winger, I think it was number 7 who I thought was skilful and quite a handful to contain.

RR, just for your info...the booking was for multiple incidents. During the conversation with the player I saw the ref pointing to various parts of the field and then produced the card

So a series of non bookable offences by a player leads to a player being booked. Never could understand the logic behind that reasoning.

Guys again just to reiterate that none of the changes I made were to injure or hurt a player, however I understand your frustrations being loyal supporters. Also might I thank the Chertsey fans for coming on here to fight my corner.

Can we not let what happened over shadow what was a fantastic game of football....

Makes sense to me - if there is a series of fouls which break up a team's rhythm but are not serious offences in isolation, this can be punished later on with a yellow card to discourage it. The debate really is over what a bookable offence is, and I guess this can vary from ref to ref depending on his mood amongst other things!

I'd agree there has been a little overreaction to events yesterday. Certainly no blame on them for Brown's injury. Chertsey did a good job on us in the first half and stopped us from playing, but when we did, we emerged comfortable winners.

fair play it was just an unfortunate accident as far as im concerned. of course we were frustrated with stuff not going our way and the injuries. you were just the obvious target to vent those frustrations at.

best of luck for the rest of the season you look a decent side definitely good enough to be safely away from relegation battles. you just ran out of steam once we started to get on top.

Hayley you earn respect you cant command it just because he is your captain BUT to you Phil you have certainly earned it from me fair play to you for coming on here. Good luck for the rest of the season but obviously not against us.

On reflection:-

Weird weather..weird game..weird decisions

For us we have had two good second half performances last week and deserved the victories........in honesty it would have been difficult to have a good first half on Saturday with the injuries and the stop/start nature of the game due to the officials.

One anxiety-the loss of discipline after their third resulting in two bookings--we all feel the ball didnt cross the line but it wasnt going to affect the result and the petulance was silly-good to see the manager remonstrating with those concerned as we must stop getting these daft yellows
