Very Sad News

I regret to inform you on here that a good friend of Non-League Football & in particular the ESL that Dave Griffiths sadly passed away yesterday. Dave was well known around the league particuarly for his coverage of Stansted, but he also covered other clubs such as Ware, Broxbourne Borough, Holmer Green & Langford. He was a big supporter of Stansted FC & always was a great help in promoting whichever club I was at. Dave had such a love & enthusiasm for football & will be sadly missed.

My deepest sympathy goes to his family & friends.

Devastated to read this, when i was at Braintree Town as match secretary i used to speak to him on the phone and we met at some games then when i was at Witham Town as club sec i wrote a few articles for him on non league daily, a thoroughly nice bloke, really sad to see it on the esl bulletin. We built up a relationship and he involved Witham Town & Braintree Town on non league daily.
