As we have 20 teams from CC Prem and Div 1 in the Southern Youth League which started this week, I thought I'd update the results and remaining fixtures for this week -

RESULTS:

West Div

Farnham 6 - Cove 0

South Div

Dorking 2 - Lewisham 0

FIXTURES:

South Div

South Park v Redhill 19.30 K/O - Come on down for what will be a lively local derby ;)

West Div

Frimley Green v Guildford 19.45 K/O

Dorking FC's U18 team kicked off their Southern Youth League season with a hard fought win over Lewisham Borough on Wednesday night at Meadowbank.

Lewisham proved to be a good side and they shaded the first half. Indeed, Dorking could count themselves lucky to be at 0- 0 at halftime after Lewisham hit the bar and post midway through the half.

Dorking were more in the game in the second half and broke the deadlock on 60 minutes when Ryan Stewart scored. Dorking made sure of the points in the 76th minute when Darryl Jeeves grabbed his first goal of the season. With captain Tom Coffey leading by example and centre back pairing Connor Torisi and Isaac Philpott solid in the heart of the Dorking defence, Chicks yougsters never looked like letting Lewisham back in the game, leaving Dorking with a full points haul from their first game

Dorking U18s play Horley Town away on Thursday 25 August, then Lingfield at home on Wednesday 31 August, before playing Woking away in the FA Youth Cup at Kingfield on Tuesday 6 September.

Team - Warne, Legg, Blackmore, Philpott, Torisi, Coffey (capt) , Worsfold, Jeeves, Clarke, Armstrong. Stewart.

Subs - Batchellor, Anijdah, Baker, Butler, Mitchell.
