Think Smudge is nursing his wounds from the mauling he got bemoaning the fact that Croydons game was called off last week.

From their website it would appear that it was Croydon who sought League approval to call the game off due to their concern for travelling players & officials.

Alan,a mauling,nursing my wounds,thought you knew me better than that.For peoples information I live right in the middle of the riots,that happened in Croydon.In fact spent most of that night,with others defending our local area,against the rioters.We came to no harm,reason we stuck together,like all good people should.Which was made worse by Ian Walmsley's p.m on the Tuesday,saying he had received many complaints about me,when asked who these complaints were from,he failed to reply.Was it the faceless Guernsey posters,the 2 FACED LEAGUE I asked.As forCroydon Website post,Lensmeister hardly attends a game,so how he represents Croydon F.C.I will never know.It was if you remember Dobo Snr of R.P.V. who stated that many of their Players would have too travel by Train and Tram,and would not feel safe not me.He failed to mention however that 2 of there players where Policeman.As for me being Nice Guy how ludicrous a statement,he is no longer a Gold Member maybe he is embarassed to post,but I DOUBT IT.Actually my Gold Membership ran out in JULY but being the ambassodor for Gold Membership,and remember it is computerised,why do you think I have still got mine.Ian in his wisdom has not taken it away WHY.Coz Smudge is good for business that's why.Funny thing is a nice gentleman came up to me tonight,with £5 in his hand for a Gold Membership,JELLY JUMBO he posts as,was shocked when i TURNED IT DOWN.Reason,why pay £5 when you get nothing extra for it,not even the chat room which is open to all.BUT iAN HAS COTTONED ON,every post you make now says, your a gold member or not,for all to see.Finally have met some very nice people through this site,enjoyed my time here.Will leave you in the safe hands of your led by Bomaya,happy posting!!!!!!!!!!!!! Purely Personal point of view here from someone that rarely posts but has been lurking here for years.Theres too much rubbish on here spouted by people that arent really involved with the league.Sure your a lovely guy Jack but no one cares about your ramblings, your better off on a samaritans forum.Then you have other people from other forums butting in as this is a busy vibrant one and they have nothing better to do with their time, and now for some reason people decide to moderate this forum.Leave it alone guys

The posts have always said whether you are a gold poster or not.

 

Your post mentions being an ambassador, well that is what being a moderator is. Sure if a moderator wishes to be controversial then he or she should use a different account. This is quite common on forums.

 

The biggest benefit for Gold Members is the lack of adverts and the contribution towards costs. For example next month I have to pay out over $300 in fees for the site, so a fiver helps towards these costs. Yes the chat room is open to all, but I have to pay an annual fee for that as well, and I am sure you will agree having all members in there is far better than just a handful. I doubt you will find any site that has an advert free option for under a tenner a year so a fiver is a bargain.

 

I am sorry that you felt my PM was wrong, but rather than working towards a solution you chose to walk away. That is your right. Of course you are always welcome here though and I thank you for your contribution over the months.

 

From the sounds of your post, you would prefer that you were not a complimentary Gold Member. That can be removed if you wish.

Have to be honest, smudge/peter is the driving force behind this site. have met him a few times and have always found him to be an honest upright person. and as was the case with young witby, someone you want next to you when you have been wronged. im not sure what Ian has pointed out to you. but i cant imagine he has asked you not to post. the site will be poorer without you.

Yes, it's true. I did offer my fiver to Smudge last night and he told me a few reasons why he couldn't accept it. Now, personally,

I find Peter to be a pasionate supporter of everything he does and I feel that he sees things in black or white with no grey in between.

When the two are put together this can sometimes lead to posts, which to some, can appear to be a bit over the top. The one thing

is that they lead to a good debate/discussion/arguement which really is what a forum should be about and I hope that he reconsiders

his decision and we see him back here in the very near future.
