three wins from three for the 'big four' so far this week and i expect to see Bethnal Green make it a clean sweep tonight, should be a good test for Takeley at Eton Manor.

Great result for us last night making up for the poor performance sat at clapton ( our f**king bogie team) looks like this season could be s real good one in the senior league as a few teams r surprisingly doing a lot better than first thought my hands go to mercer and co as they look like they ant got a bad little side as they had a hard job to follow tel and co far play to them

Watched Bethanl Green v Stansted last night. Stansted are young, fit, enthusiastic and a well drilled side but lack experience and some real quality players but I think they'll do alright this season probably mid to lower mid table. Bethnal Green look a very good side with one or two very good players. One of their central midfielders is absolute quality. With a 20 goal a season striker Bethnal Green could really challenge for the title.

 

Was good to see both sides trying to play football and there was no overly physical play, bad tackles etc which made for a nice game. Stansted had a chance right at the start but after that Bethnal Green controlled the game for long periods and should have really sown the game up 3 or 4 nil. However Stansted brought on a big lad up front with 30mins to go and it changed the game. They nicked a goal 20mins from time and then got another with about 10min remaining which was on the cards. Bethnal Green seemed to drop physically in the last 20mins whereas Stansted looked very fit and and sharp albeit with no real goal threat. Then in injury time the Stansted keeper, who was absolutely shocking all game to be fair, fumbled a really tame shot and the forward tucked it away. Bethnal Green then used their experience to run down the clock very professionally.

 

Overall a fair result because Bethanl Green really should have scored another couple of goals that would have finished Stansted off. But all credit to Stansted, they kept going and got the goal, which gave them the momentum which led to the second goal. Thought the officials done well also.
