Interesting game at the Lammas tonight, Sports started really brightly and there two guys up front are very impressive and there goal was a cracker, Lammas just couldn't get in there stride until the second half, Gary James got on the score sheet then Nick Hardy smashed in from 12 yards out to nick the winner.

 

Redrup saw Red late on. I think Spelthorne Sports will do well this season defo top 10, I thought they tired late on, but our subs from the best squad ever at the Lammas were the difference when they came on.

 

Good luck to Spelthorne.

Lammas 2 v 1 Spelthorne Sports

 

A typical derby game with goals, yellows and reds! First 30 mins spelthorne were first to everything, they gave us time to play, they got in our faces and made it hard for us. They got their rewards with a stunning 25 yrd strike which flew into the top hand corner. last 15 of the first lammas started to liven up and created a few half chances. After the hairdryer treatment at half time lammas came out the blocks quick and got an equaliser threw gary james. Lammas kept pressing a got the winner with a well struck strike threw nick hardy. Spelthorne pressed late on and nearly equalised when a great header rebounded of both posts. I saw red late on for a remark I made to the ref, totally regret it and now will serve a 3 game ban for being an idiot. Lammas held out to nick the derby!! UTL!!

Bookham 0-2 Westfield

 

We were excellent tonight. Outstanding first half performance but no goals. 2 early goals at the start of the seond half - one a superb team move that even the home fans applauded. Bookham are lively going forward but we defended well.

 

Very much looking forward to Saturdays tough FA Cup tie at home to Peacehaven

Bookham seem to be struggling after a few made them strong favorites to bounce right back up. Shows the quality this year in CCL1 and after all, it's early days!

early days Guv. No ones getting carried away. For me the top 6 are Sports Lammas Hartley Guernsey Worcester Park Eversley and thats even before sides like yourselves Knaphill & Warlingham. The league is as strong as ever this year and am happy we are competing again. Made some good signings over the summer and therer's a very good vibe at the club so long may it continue

Yes agree were just aiming for mid table anything after that's a bonus, We got you chaps next week so we can see where we at....But our focus is on Frimley Green Saturday now hopefully win that then someone's O has to go the following week.....

Thought Westfield deserved the points tonight, played well and harried all night long, good strikers who hold the ball up well & strong in the air (thats not route one football).

 

Bookham are a much changed side from last season with more emphasis on youth & thought this showed as Westfield muscled (fairly) us off the ball too much tonight. Both sides knocked it about well & apart from the result was a good game to watch.
