Eversley v Guernsey 20/08/2011

Recommended Posts

I have seen Allen. He looks out of hIs depth at this level. Wouldn't get in most reserve teams in this leage.

Well you don't know much about football then because Swindon are looking at him.

Ross Allen will be top goal scorer this season guaranteed.

Edit- Also 5 goals isn't bad in 3 games is it ! A tad better than a reserve player I think.

See Guernsey, I was right ! Seen Ross Allen 1.5 times (second time he came off the bench at HW) when I said that he could play higher on the UK mainland............ if the rumour is true about Swindon !

Next watch O'Toole at Windsor...you heard it here first !

Fair comment Sarnia. Particularly when you consider that only one of the first choice back four from the muratti was playing. Bourgaize (many gsy apps) and Dodd (gsy player of the year) are not yet fit and would surely be first choice defenders, add to that the fact that the skipper was missing and we should be far stronger defensively in future fixtures. If all players were available there would probably be 6 or 7 different players who would come into the first 11. It's pleasing to see some strength in depth.

To be fair Penfold, Guernsey SHOULD have the pick of the Island so their squad should have strength in depth !

Leigh dont have a mobile, let alone know how twitter works, think it was T.R.S who mentioned you took in the Woking and Embrook game when he was flicking through Saturday's Results. As for bullying P.Ms from me to you,you do make me laugh, such a drama queen you are. Please post these bullying P.M.s for all to see,you have my permission.Oh I ignored you,but was it not the other way round, you did not speak to me.When spoken too I always speak, plenty of posters on here can verify that, sometimes I do speak too much.

You are absolutely right N.G. We should have some depth to our squad, but you never know until the players are tested at this level. What has pleased me as a supporter is that despite having various different players playing in the back line, we have only conceded one goal from open play in our first 4 league fixtures. The other 2 have been unstoppable free kicks, by all accounts. ( I saw neither ) I would agree with many other posters that GFC are weaker defensively than in attack, but that is the area of the pitch where we have injured players returning. It will be interesting to see if they make a positive impact when available.

Should be another good game sat. Eversley vs Lammas normally a very close game with a few goals as well. Lammas and knaphill in space of 3 days. Could do with at least 4 points from them two games. Looking forward to it.

Good Luck Eversley,

Ive seen Knaphill a couple of times this season and i believe you will turn them over , i cant say for Lammas though

A very fair report on the game:

I was very impressed with the Guernsey players and their officials. I thought it was a decent game of football and it was good to have a drink and a chat in the bar afterwards.

Looking forward to the return fixture in January.
