OK, so in addition to the old photos we need, I'm now looking to source information on players for the database which is now up and running on the site.

The more recent players aren't an issue in terms of a profile, but for the main part mid 90's and earlier are less well known for me. Any "pen pic" style information would be greatly appreciate so we can add some further value to the excellent resource.

Gary, I have an STFC handbook for the 1995/96 season, and an old STSA Christmas handbook for the 1992/93 season.

 

Both handbooks include useful team photos, and the 1995/96 handbook has a pen pic section with lot's of player information. Unfortunatley, you won't be able to scan these as the previous owner scribbled over them for some reason, but you can still read them and most of the pics that go with it are still useable.

I also have a copy of the Birmingham City FA Cup match programme from 12th November 1994, which has a pen pic section plus a team photo.

 

The team photo isn't a massive one, but could still be useful maybe? (Vertically, it and the player names beneath take up about half the page).

Have had a quick look through my programme collection, and I have found some which may be of some use?

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Walthamstow Avenue; Hitachi Cup Final; 4th May 1981. This has a pen pic section and a small team photo. The pen pic section isn't great however.

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Worthing; Athenian League Cup Final; 12th May 1973. There is a page with small headshots of Ian Reid, Keith Mead, Alf D'Arcy, Terry Reardon and Roger Day.

 

Matchday programme; Aylesbury United vs Slough Town; Diadora League Cup Final; 8th May 1995. Has a bigger team photo than the one in the Birmingham City programme, but this one is Black & White. Also a pen pic section.

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Millwall; FA Cup 1st Round; 20th November 1982. Not wonderful on it's own, but inside there is a MASSIVE newspaper cutting featuring pen pics of the Rebels (and Millwall) team. I am grateful to the previous owner for leaving that in there!

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Harwich & Parkeston; Athenian League Premier Divison; 18th March 1972. Inside there is a small photo of Peter Cruse.

 

Matchday programme; Wycombe Wanderers vs Slough Town; Berger Isthmian League Premier Division ; 22nd September 1979. There is a small article regarding some of our players, mainly concerning injuries, transfer lists, and players place in the team. I don't know if this would be of any use?

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Aveley; Isthmian League Charity Shield; 13th August 1990. 1989/90 team photo + pen pics.

 

Matchday programme; Morecambe vs Slough Town; GM Vauxhall Conference; 2nd September 1995. Pen pics + a "We've met before" section, with some info on recent player activity at Slough. Some useful information regarding player fee for defender Lee Harvey. There is also a team photo, but it's so small it's not worth bothering with.

 

Matchday programme; Dagenham & Redbridge vs Slough Town; GM Vauxhall Conference; 30th August 1993. Pen pics + black & white team photo.

 

Matchday programme; Wycombe Wanderers vs Slough Town; GM Vauxhall Conference; 29th December 1992. Same as Dagenham & Redbridge programme.

 

Matchday programme; Cheltenham Town vs Slough Town; GM Vauxhall Conference; 11th September 1991. Pen pics + team photo.

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Kidderminster Harriers; Bod Lord Trophy 2nd Round; 19th November 1991. Bigger team photo than in Cheltenham Town programme.

 

Matchday programme; Slough Town vs Harrow Borough; Diadora League Premier Division; 19th November 1994. 2 pages of photos (1 action shots, a seperate page of photos of fans) at Birmingham City for FA Cup tie. Might be useful if anyone writes a report for that match?
