Played for staines for a couple of years in the academy, when trying to break into the first team. Alan was such a nice bloke and was so passionate about the club. Condolences to his family!!

Very sad news indeed, we've sent our condolences and our Chairman Doug White rounded off Wednesday night's programme notes with:

"On the subject of popularity, the passing of one Alan Boon last weekend brings this footnote to my wishes for his recovery in our pre-season programme. He was a popular and committed chairman of Staines Town who deservedly gloried in their FA Cup runs in recent years. If your reading this from that unknown place above, thanks for keeping your promise of the pre-season friendly, and I promise you that nobody has done more for non-league football in this area than you."

RIP Alan...

RIP Alan, top man from a top club, you have done so much for football in the Staines area, my thoughts are with your family.

A huge loss.

From all at Staines Lammas FC.
