Why do we have to constantly change things? This forum for a techno phobe like me was ok ,because it was simple .Now I don,t even know how to get back to the main page without leaving the site.

Why can't we just leave things alone?!!!!

It is set at admin level and is usually either x replies or x replies per day that sets its status as HOT.

Just click on the home link if you want the home page.

 

Things do not constantly change, but we have had to update the site software in order to bring new features to the site.

 

We have actually made things a lot simpler to navigate the site. Click on

 

 

or

 

 

depending upon your theme to bring up a quick navigation box.

 

If you need help finding anything else, let me know - but I am sure you will soon find this easier and gives a good foundation to build upon.

It is a set number of replies which triggers that indicator

I like the new layout. I like the bigger avatars, clearer text and I've had no problems navigating so far

Having been part of forum culture for about 15 years now, I admit I never like it when they change BUT one does always get used to it to the point where you cant even remember what the old look was like after a while.

There is actually not much difference unless you are using Internet Explorer in which case you are seeing an alternative theme, which I had to build this afternoon due to a bug with the main theme.

 

You can switch themes by using the link below 'Change Theme'.

Well I can tell you, I haven't a clue how to get round this this sight. Far too complicated for me. Sorry Smudge, I think that I am going to have to quit. I will leaves the fiver over the bar in an envelope at Croydon but Im afraid thats it for me. Why do we have to push a button to get us to the posts that we havent read when before it took us there automatically, surely thats not going forward.Anyway Smudge the fiver will be there and Nicey , I will just have to wonder forever what the Windsor v Spark game was like!!!

i always had to click on the little icon at the left of each thread to get to new posts - every browser is different.

 

And I thought you'd now found the button that got you back to the main CC forum page.

 

The worst change for me is having the sub forums (Farnham and Windosr) at the top!!

I have to alter that - but either click on the dot/image to the left of the topic or at the top of the thread click on 'go to first unread' .

 

The method before was a change that I made, so need to re-add it in.

It should now jump straight to the first unread post on the New Blue theme, will look at the Alternative theme in a moment.
