Met.Police Advice.

Just seen on B.B.C. News that the police have advised people not to make unnecessary journeys to riot affected areas,be it even to visit Family and Friends.Also advising Shops,Business's to close early again.How will these Business's,Shops, survive,in already hard times,the simple answer is the small ones will not.Have never in my life seen Croydon Town Centre so devoid of people,but on the other hand never seen so many Police.Who will pay for this,the cost of the Policing on this level alone must be enormous.Will Croydon be in lock down up until Friday,I think it might.Will Croydon F.C. lose revenue,well they already have by the postponement of Tonights Game.Will Saturdays game go ahead,who knows.Ironically for me Guildford's game tonight will be on for sure,but the irony is that most of the Players for Guildford are Croydon based,hope they all get home safe.

I think the advice is probably a bit 'over-kill'.

Last night was especially quiet in the London area because the Met and 'Call-Me-Dave' had already said they were going to swamp the area with police, which they did, quite rightly, but at a very great expense to the tax-payer.

 

I still say, bring in the army - Preferably the Para's and Marines. They don't feck about !!
