Just to point something out. Whether it was aimed at me or not I will still comment. I don't follow smudge. I am my own person and don't follow anyone. I say things that get peoples necks up, but often I try to reign it in. I have long standing jokes with smudge about how I'm his number 1 fan, I look up to him and pride myself on him but that in no ways means I'm a follower. Just making that clear, however I do like smudge a lot whether others do or not.

Jackd you Judas ! .... and there's me thinking (as you said) you jumped off Smudges boat and got on mine......... listen, I'm not prepared to share you so you have to make a decision and quick, otherwise I will go elsewhere.....LOL !!!

Simple question for the powers of this site, does smudge have mod rights in CCL forum or any other?

If you look down the bottom of the forum page, it says "forum led by Smudge and Bomaya" I got my 'powers' after Smudge so I assume that mine are the same as his. I can edit, delete, merge, etc and also view deleted posts, threads. I can lock, pin, and unpin. All that usual stuff.

Bommie you've edited my posts.......FACT !

Windsor asked the League to postpone their away game Tonight at Wembley, due to concerns over their Players safety in travelling. This was denied by the League, now Windsor face a Fine/loss of points, they consulted the Police,Middlesex F.A. FOR ADVICE.It's correct 1 day in advance, but not on the day.MADNESS according to all the posters who posted on the Riots thread.Bet this thread will not get many replies.

Smudge, for someone who advocates and promotes the league so much (for which I commend you), you really do shoot yourself in the feet with both barrels at times, with idiotic comments like the above!!

Also, unless I've totally misread Whitelaws post below about the Wembley v Windsor game, where does it say that the league denied Windsor and they now face fines/points deductions etc?? It just says the matter will be sorted out later and that Wembley were annoyed!

I confirm that the match between Wembley and Windsor has now been postponed, greatly to Wembley's annoyance.

The advice and information I received from various parties was that trouble was not anticipated at Vale Farm nor along the route that Windsor would be likely to take. The Club though were unwilling to travel and I gave them the same advice that I have given one or two others who have contacted me, which is that, whilst one match in particular is postponed (at Croydon) and the others still on, that if a club feels that their players are genuinely at risk, they should call the match off and the matter will be sorted out later.

We could have called every match in the League off which I am sure would have been criticised but equally I do not feel I can insist upon a club travelling against its will in the present circumstances.

All other games are on at the moment but there could be further late postponements, hopefully not at Hartley Wintney where I am now heading. It's been quite a day: Guernsey have just contacted me to say their kit has gone missing at Gatwick. Fortunately HW are standing by to provide a spare set if it does not come to light in time.

Yes, I've edited posts to remove offensive words and personal attacks. Your point?

I've also edited posts to fix quotation tags so that they read correctly. I've also removed duplicated posts that were put up in error. I've done lots of things on purely in the cause of trying to help this forum, never for any personal reasons. Getting tired of all this pettiness now.

My point Bommie, was that previous posts on this thread mentioned about edited posts, so I thought I'd mention that my posts had been edited... whats wrong with that dear boy ?

Completely different circumstances. Supposing the coach got attacked. No insurance cover due to the riot excusion. Why would a coach drive there? Suppose a player or fans got attacked. The club would have been blamed.

I'm not Windsor's biggest fans, but this was the right choice.

There are a few things I don't understand here...

1) I've seen reference on here to "abuse" one of the Guernsey posters is alleged to have posted about Whitelaw, but not the actual comments, which I assume were deleted by a moderator or the author. And I saw a post by Smudge that clearly stated that any further abuse would not be tolerated and would, in fact, be deleted. That would be the same Smudge who calls the League (and, by definition, Whitelaw) "two-faced", would it? Last time I checked, calling someone "two-faced" would be considered derogatory, maybe even abusive...

2) Can someone please tell me what else the League were supposed to do? As I understand it, the Police indicated they would rather Croydon's game was postponed but, at the time the decision around Wembley v Windsor had to be made, there had been no significant reports of trouble in the Wembley area so Inspector Knacker had no strong feelings either way. I am also of the impression that Wembley FC were keen the game should go ahead and I know that the Middlesex FA, who are just a few miles from Vale Farm, also saw no reason for the League to step in.

3) This situation can't be compared to others (such as Croydon's last season) because there is no precedent for it. Not being able to raise a team, which is where Croydon had their problem, is entirely different to refusing to travel because you can't be sure you'll get home afterwards. The League will need to look into the matter and may - or may not - take action against Windsor, but that's a matter for them.

What has happened, has happened. Schizophrenic postings hammering the volunteer officers of the League will achieve nothing. I've said to you before, Smudge and I'll say it again to you (and anyone else): if you think you can do a better job, then put yourself up for election and have a bash at it. Trying to be fair to all clubs at all times is a hell of a task..

Beano I am the alleged abuser of Whitelaw. You will not find the abuse anywhere on this forum because it did not happen. I just stated that me and Whitelaw must have been watching different games because we had very differing opinions of the game in question. I was never rude to the gentleman but a Smudge led witch hunt was soon joined by his personal followers. As I have already stated a couple of times I do not even know Mr Whitelaw and would ask anyone to re issue any disrepectful comment that I made about him
