My thoughts are with you O/T

As an uncle of a Met Policeman who is at present in the thick of peace keeping duties I would also like to say I am also thinking of other people who have family involved in these peace keeping activities especially you Steve (one of our most loyal supporters).

May you all stay safe.

Thanks for your thoughts Jim. Its been a busy couple of days so far. I started early turn yesterday at 0700 and finished at 2230 last night. Theres just yobs roaming the streets in Brixton. About 20 shops have been looted with a couple completely burnt out. What people don't see is the gangs who come out and barricade the roads and try and ambush the police. When we respond they run of,f and then as happened last night, there will be another incident at the other end of the ground, meaning officers are just chasing shadows. The really sad thing is to see the large fire in Croydon last night on Reeves corner. The Reeves furniture shop has been there for over 150 years and is still run by the Reeves family. It was ransacked of furniture and then they set it alight. Mindless violence.

The interesting thing now is how the Police and government deal with any other trouble. I believe the met already have water cannon in storage but wont use them. The police need the backing of the courts and these do gooders who constantly critisise the police when thy use strong arm tactics, so officers are afraid to use force.

I think we have to wake up,this has been coming a long time and it's about time we stopped pussy footed around with the youth and some of those old enough to know better. We need to get out of Europe and start taking control of our own country instead of being governed for far too long by countries who don't have anywhere like the problems we have. It's the fault of various governments, not just the one now (although law and order seems to have got worse in the 90's under labour).

It costs £38'000 per annum to lock someone up,why?? Because we pamper to the scums human rights, for some reason, face facts, half of these idiots don't want to be reformed, they are happy spreading violence, thinking they live in ghettos when 95% of them really don't have that bad a deal. This can be the end of this country or it can be the start of it's resurgence, enough is enough but those in power need to be strong enough to sort it out.Time for the troops to be pulled out of everyone elses mess,,the army to be downgraded somewhat and the police to be bolstered by recruits from the army.

Go get em Steve but stay safe mate. We are all behind you.

Mindless thugs. In fact, words cannot explain exactly what I feel about this scum.

There is only one remedy for this and for me its national service.

Where are the parents? This is the fault of numerous generations of dissfunctional families.

Aghhhhh I could go on for ever!!!!!!!! :wall:

I did see this to be fair to Ian on Facebook Tony, but does appear to be a hoax (I hope).

I am just pleased to get out of London each day!

Have just come home via the seafront, no visible signs there of anything untoward going on.

Thank heavens for that!.

Its just this kind of advertising that gives these idiots the temptation to want to take a look & to possibly join in (not including you in that by the way Harvey)

Exactly Tony, probably someone trying to be funny at first on Facebook, then it snowballs with chinese whispers etc, with, hopefully, no truth in it.
