A flurry of late activity ?

With 13 players signed-will we see a few more signings over the next few days?

Accepting the pre-requisite to keep within budgetary requirements, seems to me that minimally need about 4 more players to give you min squad size of 17.

Main problem is that without any reserveplayers to call upon-if you get 3/4 ineviatable injuries suspensions you end up with just 13 players on a` squad size of 17.

That given-would much rather have fewer quality players than quantity.

And imo-the 13 current squad members are of the right quality.

Issue for me now is that of the remaining trialists-based upon the little i have seen-and then read-there is no-one left as a 'must-have'

White, burchell,groombridge-all much of a muchness and not ooozing talent imo.(lots of calls for white-but is he really there yet for a wet november night in essex-its a different ball game to a summer friendly. )

So for me-difficult to see where CK goes from here.

So far-fantastic-but not much left.

Hopefully-there will be a couple of quality 'late arrivals 'who have not appeared in any of the friendlies so far .

maybe CK sees it like me-if in doubt-don't sign them.

I guess Jake would make it 14 players-and i did predict that he would be playing

I think you are right, there may well be a couple of signings that have not been on trial. CK will no doubt be looking at players on trial at other clubs with some of them not being offered contracts at the end. I would expect at least two before next week with a couple of our triallists joining them.

It certainly won't be any more than 16, will it? You need 11 plus five subs. No player worth his salt is going to want to sit on the bench every week (as we saw with Adrian Stone). It's not like the Premier League where people are happy not to play because they are on so much money. If you get injuries/suspensions the subs' bench will have youngsters to make up the numbers.

I think there may be 2 or 3 more signings in my opinion - Not sure about Adam Burchall, although he is young so probably would not mind being an impact sub (his attitude on Saturday didnt help him though)...James Whyte is young so i imagine will be happy with being used as a sub to try and come on and change games - and I think he will be very good at this

The left back who came on for curtis on saturday looked good too...

Is Corneille injured??? If so I suppose Pooley can move into right back

Considering he has played Reserve football for Brentford all over the country and travelled with first team for a few weeks I'm sure he is capable of that
