Essex Senior Cup

New for season 2011/12 is the removal of extra time in all Senior Cup fixtures, with each tie going directly to a penalty shootout if the scores are level after 90 minutes. Elsewhere, the Essex County FA continues to pledge prize money for the last four in the competition - each semi-finalist will receive £500, the runners-up £1,000 and the winners £1,500.

 

First Round (to be completed on or before 10th September): London APSA vs Brightlingsea Regent. Second Round (to be completed on or before 8th October): Eton Manor vs Barking; Stanway Rovers vs Basildon United; Burnham Ramblers vs FC Clacton; London APSA or Brightlingsea Regent vs Takeley; Southend Manor vs Wivenhoe Town; Witham Town vs Barkingside; Bowers & Pitsea vs Stansted; Halstead Town vs Hullbridge Sports.SeniorCupFirstandSecondRoundDraws080811.JPGBrightlingsea Regent Manager James Webster after the draw at BBC Essex headquartersRelated Links

Even if I raise to the challenge of playing an Eastern Counties I do love that League.Shame they have given the job to a long grey hair manager who we beat last year...he was more local and experienced....You never know one day Mark...grin.gif
