The Margate FC Prediction League is back.

This Year the League is proud to be sponsoring 2010-2011 Player of the Season CURTIS ROBINSON, a special prize (Curtis's 2011-12 shirt) will go to the highest placed MARGATE fan who correctly predicts the Margate league position before the last Home Game of the season.

Here is a reminder of the rules. Just predict what the final Ryman League table of the 2011-12 season will look like & send the prediction to me either by Personal Message / e-mail (akawellsy@yahoo.co.uk) or by posting them on this Prediction League thread on the Forum - this must reach me by 3pm 20th August when entries will close.

As a reminder the twenty two teams are - AFC Hornchurch, Aveley, Billericay Town, Bury Town, Canvey Island, Carshalton Athletic, Concord Rangers, Cray Wanderers, East Thurrock United, Harrow Borough, Hastings United, Hendon, Horsham, Kingstonian, Leatherhead, Lewes, Lowestoft Town, Margate, Metropolitan Police, Tooting & Mitcham United, Wealdstone, Wingate & Finchley,

For those of you who are new to the forum, the Prediction League is a free-to-enter competition. There are prizes, which are donated by some of the participants (but there is no obligation to donate a prize). Just send me (PeterW) a list 1-22 of how you think the Final Ryman Premier Table will look, then after each match I will calculate how accurate your predictions are. (for example, if you predict Margate will finish 1st and they are in 1st place in the table you score 0 points ... if they are in 22nd place in the table you score 21 points .... the same calculation is done for all 22 teams ... the player with the lowest points total is the winner. After every Margate match a table is published showing how many points each player has scored.

Half way through the season you will be asked to make a revised prediction whereby you can correct some of your wilder predictions from the first pick.

Big thanks to COOKIE who introduced the Prediction League to this Forum - he has kindly donated £2 a Margate Point as prize money PLUS a years subscription (£52) to the Goalden Gate superdraw (which will go to the overall winner of the League) thereby for one year they will have a chance of winning even more money for no cost weekly to them from the lottery.
