What started off as a decent friendly and a good game at 1-1 descended into the usual aggressive display when these two meet.It all seemed to go a bit mad when the tonbridge defender lashed out while on the floor and for whatever reason about 6 tonbridge players decided to all jump in for a bit of bovva,then about 2 minutes later,exactly the same senario,which was followed by their number 7 (a tw@t of the highest order) giving it large to the Eastside.

So once again tonbridge thuggery spoils a good game

Good result and game. Very entertaining, but my hatred towards Tonbridge remains in tact after that "friendly"

No need for it in a friendly - spoiled a good game and an even contest.

 

Pressure from both teams in spells, scrappy goal from Tonbridge could have been two with a messy clearance - decent goal from Hx and should have really been a pen when Tam was brought down. Draw a fair result.

Over all a fair and good reuslt against a "physical" tonbridge side.

No need for them to be so agressive, just a friendly after all.

Thought we played some good stuff and possibly deserved a win - considering it wasnt our first choice centre back pairing i thought they both done well (Fletcher - Curley and considering they had Main who I think crawled out of Fletcher's pocket at full time)

Tam's looking good and black seems to have found a new lease of life....

dont read to much into friendlies myself the blue rinse support that came over from kent said that was their best performance so far read into that wot u will,thought tommy black stood out for me just good to see the boys back in action against a proper team which we held our own but a friendly against tonbridge u could'nt make it up could ya

If that's Tonbridge's best performance pre-season then they might find it hard going in the BSS.

I do like the way that every team from Essex that they play seems to have problems with them,yet they refer to Essex as pikeys,play on a filthy council estate and claim it's horrible people from the badlands of Essex that are the problem!!!

 

 

As for this being their best performance so far pre season,sounds about right seeing as they had 10 put past them by brentford,and they were charging their fans £10 for the privilege which seemed to go down badly with the few fans they had at the bridge last night.
