3 DAYS TO GO.

Smudge

Before the merry go round starts all over again, and people hopes and aspirations, will be put to the sword. Will it be an exciting season for your Club, after what you have seen in pre-season,or more of the same. Many teams in both divisions have high hopes of success, but only 4 teams maximum can gain promotion,so leaves 36 Teams hoping for a Cup Run.

Of course I am,I love the footie, the nice people, the warm welcome received at all C.C.L. Clubs, especially at your beloved Dorking. The results are immaterial to me,, as long as the beer is cheap and the Company is good.

Feck off Smudge youre not welcome so don't come to Cove you kent...............only joking mate youre always welcome at Squirrell lane.

Just like you Smudge cannot wait for the big K.O. and you will obviously be very welcome at Krooner. Also many good wishes to Duncs except of course against Camberley, I think this season when we play you I will stand on the near side so the lino will think I'am your speedy winger and keep putting his flag up.

Good luck to everyone this season, lets hope it gets settled on playing issues alone and not some petty ground ruleing.

boo - no captions on that one. that was before you turned pro trs!

actually, just watched the sandhurst v C&H highlights from last season as I will probably be going to that game on Saturday and saw that that was where my pick for goal of the season was scored. let's hope history repeats itself.

1 day to go and my turn for a rant.

Felt I was doing the clubs a favour by putting all the website info in one pinned thread on here but having gone through all the Premier sites this afternoon, I was pretty saddened by what I saw. A lot of sites have little or no information about the new season starting this weekend. It's like they don't want to attract people. Yes, I know updating a website is time-consuming and frankly, sometimes more trouble than it's worth at this level but still, if you have one, at least have it up to date at the start of the season when there is keen interest!!!

Best site for me was Epsom & Ewell as at least they had a little write-up about the game against Cove (JJ gets a mention!) and sound actually excited about the new season!

The following clubs also had a least made a bit of an effort - Egham, Guildford City, Horley and Windsor.

About 7 clubs merely had the fixture listed with little or no other info. [EDIT: Mole Valley have just posted a nice long preview - nice one Gary ;)]

Then we have the list of shame. I couldn't even find mention of Saturday's game on the following sites: Ash, Banstead CWU, Cove, Dorking, Farnham, Wembley. Hopefully I'm just being blind and it is on there somewhere.

Worst of all though are Molesey and Sandhurst whose websites are currently down. Molesey's at least appears to be under construction whereas Sandhurst's has been buggered for weeks now.

Off to trawl through Div 1 now.

Take a bow Div 1.

In general the sites are so much better than the Premier sites. Only one was down - Bookham's.

Five didn't list the first fixture - CB Hounslow, Cobham, Frimley Green, Spelthorne and Worcester Park.

Three sides had a cursory mention of the game but apart from that, it was good preview after good preview. Farleigh and Bedfont Sports both pointed out that the clubhouse for their game is open from 1 and entrance only £3. Knaphill, Sheerwater, South Kilburn, Westfield and Warlingham all had mini previews of the game/season.

Joint best though I thought though were Feltham and Staines Lammas. Interesting previews that make it sound like they are really up for the new season. Love it.

Come on Premier sides, sort your websites out.

I think ours is the best but no one will agree with me on that one ( rolls eyes )

I do disagree. It looks nice and professional but is lacking in content and too full of ads. There is nothing about Saturday's game other than on the fixture list. Where's the preview? Nothing on there about the game or your visitors that I can see.

The only preview we could put is Knaphill is going to get a stuffing so we didn't bother. We didn't want to sound cocky lol

The Molesey website has been "under construction" for weeks now... I'm not sure whats going on with it.

Its annoying because it makes it harder for people to reach the clubs (unofficial) forum which I run

*cough* http://moleseyfc.pro...s.com/index.cgi *cough*

I'm happy to add unofficial forums to the list so will stick yours in the pinned list.
