With my cynical head on I wondered whether the refurb of WP was being funded by a party who want to challenge us for the right to have Orchard Park. Didn't a group want to use it to build a Sikh school? An expensive shot in the dark though if that was true. WP is totally dilapidated and would cost a huge sum just to be habitable, let alone decent.

I found this old article about Singh Sabha Slough moving to new Sikh facilities on Stoke Poges Road http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/singhsabhaslough/news/field-of-dreams-97658.html Anyone know the latest on this?

Grandad makes the very valid point reminding people that it wouldn't be our ground and we wouldn't get any of the extra income like bar takings that we need to become successful again.

Emailed the council to find out their position and got a very supportive reply about Arbour Vale - just writing it all up for Burnham programme.

Building has already started in Stoke Poges Lane for some sort of Sikh sports centre.

Another very important point is that Arbour Vale is part of a wider development that includes much needed houses.

And is wholly in Slough rather than having to deal with South Bucks Council as well.

Has anyone heard of the potential "big" club that may use Wexham Park?i heard a whisper it maybe be Reading,Wycombe or Langley College???

To be honest the artical on the observer clearly states that one professional club has shown interest and a few local clubs have shown interest. Nothing about Slough Town.
