What makes a true supporter? Is it a sycophant, the dictionary definition of this word is ' A person who tries to win favour by flattery ' or is a true supporter, one that gives his honest opinion on how he views the game.

 

I believe all of us on this forum want the current Slough manager and team to do well and those who, like me, have given their earnest assessments are no less true Slough supporters than any others that haven't. Maybe we are not the 100% fan to the eyes of Windsor Rebel and others, who just don't like fans saying anything detrimental about the team but as I will maintain this is NOT a fan club, it is a fans forum for worthy Slough Town Football Club issues, deemed for discussion by the rank and file regular attendees/fans of Slough Town FC matches.

 

Anyway on behalf of all the supporters that have commented on here,whether deemed good or bad comments, we wish the team and the management the best of luck for the coming season ! ! !

Of course everyone wishes the best for the club players and Steve, considering Steve has taken us from a freefall towards oblivion to a play off semi and final I don't think anyone can question his professionalism, lOok at the different quality of players we have! In my opinion theresnothing wrong with questioning decisions and tactics at times but I don't think anyone can have a swipe at what bates has done since he's been here!!!!

To say I'm not a true supporter is wide of the mark to say the least, yes I had my rant but I apologised and realised it had gone too far, but they are only opinions after all, every club from Manchester United to us have supporters who will rant regardless of how the team is performing, thats win, lose or draw... To say I do not want Steve Bateman and his current squad to succeed is ridiculous otherwise I wouldn't pay to watch Slough every week...

 

I truly hope SB and the players prove me wrong after my rant, and start us on the promotion trail back to where we belong!!!
