Anyone going to Chertsey?

None of my usual suspects can make it and I have emailed a couple of others but in case they don't get / go...

If anyone goes can they PLEASE get the starting line up and subs used and any goalscorers...

Not bothered about who came on for who as it is a friendly - just the basics!

Martin , Phil and I would be really grateful

Cheers!coffee%20%282%29.gif

I unexpectedly made it when I got a job which finished near chiswick roundabout, so here are the stats.

First Half In Goal Charley Rowley, Lockie, Gio, Kendal, Kane, Kirby, Hall, Michael Ewang, Stu Blackburn, Cato, Matata.

Second Half Charley Rowley, Lockie, Kane, Kirby, Gio, Ewang, Lee Allen, Wallace, Matata, Cato, Hope

The subtituted players (Blackburn, Kendall) returned in the second half for the last 20mins and Leon Osei came on with 30mins to go.

Goal by Lockie on about the 75th min, equalising Chertsy's 27th min opener.

was quite a decent game between two equal teams. we certainly have a choice of players now, although the starting 11 will be hard to pick. also the front two will also be a difficult choice. jordan had a good game, even without his goal. we backed off them for their goal, which was disappointing.

did i also see kirbs palying right wing briefly?

I thought that Steve experimented using Kirbs as a defending midfielder playing in front of the defence and, in theory, distributing the ball from there.

As I saw it with Kirbs playing in front of the defence it meant that Gio, (Kane and Kendall?) played deeper and the midfield of Chertsey could overrun them at times. The lino in front of me got at least one decision wrong when he flagged for offside when the Chertsey forward was through on goal. Gio had gone wide to cover for Lockie and the Chertsey forward exploited the space in the gap between the two central defenders. In other games I would have expected Kirbs to cover when Gio goes across and vice versa.

Jey did not play though he was on the bench in the first half in the town shirt. At half time he walked to the dressing room limping a little with his sock off. In the second half he was on the bench no longer in the shirt. Is he carrying an injury?

We were definitely stronger with the second half line up with Wallace playing his usual excellent self.

Standard of reporting looks to be higher this season.

Jey picked up an injury whilst warming up. He appeared to have jarred his foot by kicking the ground, a bit feakish but warm up injuries usually are. Let's hope it's nothing long term.
