PSF vs Flackwell Heath

With the last of the pre-season friendlies out of the way,I think we can see that the defence picks itself and looks pretty solid to me.Dispite yesterdays defeat, until the expected second-half changes, they coped well as they have done for the last couple of games.Experienced defenders at full back positions, yoiung Kyle looks impressive alongside Fergie as the two centre-backs and will deal I feel with any side they plays a direct game against us,which we can expect from some CCL sides.Midfield looks good, except we maybe could do with some pace down the right flank, whlist up front,Ryan just holds on to the ball a bit to much, although to be fair he needs the right kind of striker to compliment him.If we find that,we have goals in us also as I just think thats a weakness at present.Kane or Ben Porter?

Looking forward to the big off this Saturday and its good to start with a home game .

I feel we are a big forward and ball winning midfielder short. Joes main weakness when he played for us before was his lack of strength in a challenge, this has been made hilighted since his move into centre of midfield. I don't see him and Ashe working in the middle as they are both ball players. We need a Fiston type of player.

However I agree the defence looks very strong and Ryan upfront will create and score a lot with a target man playing a long side him

Both their 'keepers were unavailable on Saturday (injury and wedding I think) and the guy on the gate was unsure as to who would be filling the gap - maybe we gave them Banfry for the day. (I hadn't even realised it was him tbh!) He does look very decent I have to say and can't see him warming the bench for us all season.

But he might get same game time for us as Bully still doesn't look fully fit to me - when he kicks he gains as much yardage by coming out of his area as he can and does not seem to get full extension with his leg so maybe the knee is still causing discomfort.

HaHa I didnt notice it at the time either that Mark was in goal for them.Personally I prefer him over Bully, safer hands, distribution is better as well.

Oh and you asked the question whether Kane or Ben Porter....

Ben hands down at this stage but it would be great to see Kane, Brandon and one or 2 of the others stay in and around the 1st team so they can get more experience and develop their game and physique over the next year or so.

There's been a lot of talk about the importance of becoming a community club but that would look a little hollow if no local lads feature in the 1st team during the founding season so I am sure they will be given opportunities even if they don't start many games.

Community Team, same old same old at Windsor, wake up and smell the coffee Rother.

Please read before commenting. It said community club not team, there's more than 1 team to a club ie 25 kids teams with ovr 300 players leading eventually we hope to more home-grown 1st team talent ! 5 players registered for the 1st team from what was Windsor & Eton FC U18's is a good start plus 8 other players who have never been associated with WEFC is hardly 'same old same old'.

Thats good to hear. These youngsters need to feel part of the founding.I go along with Rother on Ben Porter starting up front alongside Ryan.Kane is tall and seems hungry to make a place for himself,as does Brandon who looks tricky and pacy and no doubt they will both play a part during the season.Forgot to mention Kemp as a striker, but needs to be more threatening in a forward role than he has shown in pre-season.
