All this talk about Enfield fielding their youth or reserve side is rubbish. What counts is the score itself. If Terry Back chooses to field a reserve side then so be it. The fact that Enfield would be losing out on getting their players some much needed match practice is immaterial. The score goes into the record books and the programme as a first-team match, no matter what the score.

 

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this game a great deal. Our ex-E's players will be more than up for this one as well. You Enfield supporters will also appreciate a short journey home from a game... when was the last time that happened?

we had better not make too much noise as we might frighten those few that we left behind and are not used to seeing a crowd so as to start enjoying our football again.The main thing is whatever the result TOWN will be the best team in the borough and we have a happy club that is OURS!!! and we are re-building the footballing name in the LOCAL area.Thanks to The Gazette more people can see our reasons.

Russ, you have to remember that EFC was our club too! We went through exactly the same pain as you did, but we decided to DO something about it.

 

I had the offer of buying a season ticket with Arsenal - but I TURNED IT DOWN because I wanted to watch Enfield Town play instead. That's how much we're enjoying the football here. It is absolutely superb, and we're loving it!

 

Just out of interest, will the supporters be segregated for this match? Perhaps we can give the EFC supporter the bus shelter thing? (Yes, that was a BIT of banter - don't go and bite my head off!)

that is something we can all talk about over a drink on tuesday if my memory serves me right me and mkjames are owd a few drinks from mr happy and the invisable man from the final against hendon last year see you all there and no havnt seen the dons yet but you never no.......russ
