Norwich City come to Town

Recommended Posts

Great work by all involved, hope the night goes well, its only pre season, but this is the reason why we should follow our local club! we have been given respect from a premier/championship side to host their development centre's!

COYB!!!!!!

TC - are we sticking with our silverware winning kit for this season or do we have a new look again?

With the first team playing Real Zaragoza on Wednesday night and Parma on Saturday I would think its likely to be mixture of reserves and youth.

The biggest game and biggest test for the 'Tractor Boys' will be here at New Lodge. You'll need a decent workout before your Championship season starts on Saturday.

The scoreline to an outsider would appear like a reasonably comfortable win but in reality imo it should have been 1-1 . Can only assume our stand in keeper took his eye off the ball for their second , as it looked to be a simple catch , and a penalty which seemed harsh maybe . So, all in all up until the final 10 minutes or so both sides were locked at 1-1 . Not surprisingly Norwich had more of the ball than us and obvioulsy they were a second or so quicker with releasing the ball , but we were playing full time pros and most definately there were some relatively big names playing for Norwich . Ironically i thought the pace of the game stepped up when we changed our entire side at halftime but would say the look of the first half side appeared to be the majority of who we will start with at seasons start . Having only seen 2 pre-seasons i am still struggling on some of the players names, but am hopeful the blend that Craig is introducing quietly will be reaping benefits as the season progresses .

How about this for the useless fact of the match i heard last night Simeone Jackson scored the goal that effectivley took Norwich to the premiership , and last night he scored Norwich's first goal of their last pre-season at Billericay ! One for quizmasters in years to come.

Enjoyable game , and i wonder what Paul Lambert thought of his first trip and link up with Billericay Town !

I thought we done well in the first half once we got going. Good finish from Jay May and you could argue that we had 3 of our starting back 4 out. Second half fizzled out as a spectacle but it was only in the last few minutes that Norwich pulled ahead. For me, this looks like being the best side we've had since 2006/07, so it's a bit frustrating that we can't get our strongest XI out. An interesting inclusion at centre-half as well!
