The next set of upgrades are finally in place on the Official Web Site and all involve the players side of things.

 

Basically, I have tried to cross reference nearly everything so that you can navigate quickly between the pages without having to always use the menu bar or click back in the browser. For example, if you are looking at a players appearances for a particular season, you can quickly switch to his appearances for another season without having to go back to the squad page, change the season and then click on the player again.

 

Sounds complicated but I think it will make life easier when browsing through. Also added a few extra bits and pieces. The full list of changes are....

 

SQUAD PAGE

Now fully up to date with 2011/12 Profiles.

All profiles of players that were also here last season have been updated.

Added the dropdown box to change the season directly in the page.

Shows the number of players used during the season.

Also added full profiles for 2009/10 to match the statistics pages.

Shows the relevant player sponsors for the season's squad you are viewing (not in place yet for 2009/10 but am working back on that soon).

When you click on 'See xxx's Profile' that will now take you to the players profile for the season you are viewing.

 

 

PLAYER'S PROFILES

Now shows total appearances and goals since 2009/10 as well as those for the relevant season.

Shows the relevant player sponsors for the relevant season.

Added the dropdown box to change the season directly in the page.

Latest Games and Latest Goals now show for the season you are viewing so if you are looking at a players 2009/10 profile, it will show the last 5 games and last 5 goals for that season.

On the players Latest Goals, it now shows if the goal was a penalty next to the time.

 

PLAYER'S APPEARANCES AND GOALS

When you click on 'See all of xxx's Appearances' or 'See all of xxx's Goals' it takes you to their appearances or goals for that season.

Both Appearances and Goals Pages have links back to that players profile for the season and also to the appearances/goals tables for that season.

On the Goals page, it now shows if the goal was a penalty next to the time.

Added the dropdown box to change the season directly in the page.

 

PLAYER STATISTICS

The 'See All Statistics' link on the player profiles page now takes you to the statistics for the relevant season.

Added the dropdown box to change the season directly in the page.

Added link back to that players profile for the season.

All of the statistics are pulled directly from the database so will all instantly update as I update the database during the game.

Upgrade number 3 hopefully coming this weekend after a few days off!

Good to see the total club appearances available. Hopefully with a more settled team we will see few more pass the three figures mark over next few seasons

Total club appearances have been available elsewhere for a while, can't for the life of me think whereabouts though...

and very informative it is. I guess we will never see a 500+ appearance record again or 150+ goals in a club career!

Maybe Chris can tempt Billy Edwards back for a couple of seasons?! To get past 500 games, world would end before he reached 150 goals!

I may have briefly seen that on some two-bit site somewhere!

 

Rest assured that although there are certainly plans to work back a little bit to cover those who have been here since before 2009/10 (Wayne and Curtis) and there are very tentative plans to put the line-ups in for all the matches in the database (and therefore automatically generate appearance/goals stats), it will never go as in-depth as the history site.

Really like the way that the Players sponsor is linked to the sponsors website (if they have one).
