The squad so far

Simply have to say, that CK seems to have assmebled a really good squad to date.

Best thing about it to me is the balance between defenders, midfield and forwards.

Money is obviously tight so with 2/3 players who can play in a variety of positions it seems really well balanced to me with cover in all positions.

i think thats 13 confirmed signatures.

Ok-we need a goalkeeper-but that will come soon i'm sure.

I don't think we need many more-maybe a bit of scope for some younger players-or leave a bit of money for a late 'star' signing if they become available.

With the flexibility, balance and quality-i don't think a big squad is required at all-save the pennies

Apart from the obvious goalkeeper requirement, my only wish would be to see a defensive midfield player signed-Richard Avery would do fine imo,but its the manager who counts obviously.

Any one else would be a bonus-so if the likes of Friend or Quain (maybe white) are signed-that would be a bonus-but apart from keeper and a defensive /holding midfield player (there's always Jake if needs be i guess, who is probably fitter than Keister was !!) -its looking really good for mid table imo-and that'll do for me

Another four signings will do, I agree Avery should be one he looks to be tough tackling, no-nonsense and really powerful in the air, he is a ball winning mid-fielder.

Avery & Whyte would be good additons to the squad i.m.o. (Whyte maybe a little lightweight Michael but he looks like he could cause all sorts of problems for defences, but then again I've only seen him & the other new players once but these two impressed me that once).Avery impressed me also & yes his height would or should be an advantage. A keeper too of course!

On this one -i reckon you have summed it up perfectly Derek-exactly the type of qualities you need in a holding midfield player in this league which is a tough league in more ways than one.

Really hoping CK signs Richard Avery.

We have a few attacking/creative midield players but we do need someone to break up the opposition. His height helps as well

It says in todays paper that Overland is signing and that CK not sure re Turner as, despite the club having a physio and a doctor, Jamie hasnt been in touch at all.

I think to complete the squad the likes of Avery, Whyte and Quain would fit in well with the rest.

Spot on Alan, Whyte, Avery and Quain would do just nicely

Quain will be a dark horse this season as I have it on good information that he has "cleaned" up his act (so as to speak) and is keen to prove himself. He still young and is a player that needs a little guidance and under CK I feel he will get that. A dangerous player that when he is firing on all cyclinders will run at opposing players and scare the crap out of em....

Agreed Andy, he played in last 2 games last season and did pretty well. I woulds sign him rather than Burchall simply because he has more strength.

For me the jury has always been out on Quain as he has come and gone with previous management but I have to say he has been a revelation in the psf's and he took Burgess Hill apart when he came on.

Squad is looking very impressive and we will have a strong bench this season to change matches unlike last year.

CK has spent very wisely and seems to have a got a lot of player for his money (unlike last season?)

I am hopeful of a top ten finish.

Only disappointment is the news on Turner. Made some stupendous saves last season.
