Jacko has been a great servant to Slough Town and although he had a go at me about my observations at the Holyport game, I sincerely wish him well for his future at Burnham,except for when Slough plays them ! lol !

I thought he was excellent in the Darren Wilkinson and Derek Sweetman era's and was extremely unlucky not to play a lot more games under Steve Bateman, due to the arrival of other keepers and his back injury. If Jamie can get back to the form he showed in the era's I've mentioned, then Martin Stone has picked up a bargain and what could prove to be his best signing of the summer.

 

On paper, Burnham are looking a very formidable,skilful team and if they get it together, they're going to be a bloody hard team to beat. They've just signed Chris Elsegood from Chesham,who played for Maidenhead before that, for a number of years.He can play anywhere across the backline. I think Elsegood is a very shrewd signing. Makes you wonder where they're finding the money from, given that last year it was well publicised their lack of it.

Can't wait for Slough to play them. They should be cracking games.
