Was had by one and all at Horley Town tonight.A night in fact, a special night that will never be repeated.Horley Town (with mascots) and Guernsey F.C. lined up in front of the main stand,where a Minutes Applause for the late Roger Patterson was given.The playing surface was excellent,the hospitality great,and the atmosphere was special.Never in a long time have I seen so many Families at a C.C.L. game all enjoying what was on offer.The Officials were excellent and I cannot recall hearing 1 abusive word all night,from the Management Teams,Players,Supporters,WELL DONE TO ALL CONCERNED.Their was a contingent of C.C.L.Committee Members there as well,which was a pleasant suprise,not that I got to speak to them,but their was an even bigger number of Guernsey F.C. Committee Members,and Fans there as well.Plus 1 suprise,none other than Matt Le Tissier,a nicer guy you could not wish to meet,had time for a chat,and when asked if Gilesy08 in full plaster cast could have his picture taken with him,the reply NO PROBLEM.SMUDGES kind of NICE GUY. Welcome aboard GUERNSEY F.C you are a definite great addition to the C.C.L. you did your COUNTRY PROUD.Oh and thank you Tucks for the lift.
