Harefield

Decent game tonight, my first game of pre-season and I thought we looked good.

Coyle looked very good in midfield, making some great runs and taking shots from distance, he also took his goal well. Mpi played well when he came on too. In general an all round solid performance which kept Harefield at bay with the exception of their (well taken) goal. Created plenty of chances from a range of players. The trialists all look useful, so will be interesting to see which are staying for the start of the season.

Have to agree Swift and Byrne played really well, in actual fact I dont think there was a thing wrong with anyone last night they were all pretty damn good.

Thoroughly convincing win albeit against lowly opposition and you can only beat what team is in front of you but I think we will learn more about this season's squad when we play this Saturday against Bedford and Tuesday's game against Chesham.

Was very impressed with Charlie Mpi when he came on and let's hope we sign him. George Coyle had a very good game last night ,as did Sean Byrne but let's see how they do against players at a higher level before we get carried away.

Dom Marsala looked effective tonight and so Stuart Swift is going to have a battle to get in on the left wing, although he can play in the centre of midfield.

What's looking so good about this season's squad is the competition for places and no one can take for granted their position in the team. Although,as we all know Steve Bateman does have his favourites.

Totally agree, we did look good last night although against inferior opposition. Having said that Harefield only lost 2-0 against Hemel.

As you say, lets see how we do against Bedford and Chesham before we get too carried away.
