Wokingham 5 Eversley 1. didn't play that bad on a very small and poor pitch but 30 minute spell second half cost us. After first half being the better side could not see the scoreline coming.A whole new team being built and took a lot of good points from game. Two more games for us before season can't wait.

Agree with all that Bom, about our side. Dave Smith will be with us Saturday im told, unfortunately he has a young family and his gf has got a part time job in a pub Tues, Thurs and Sat so has been unavailable. It looks like he maybe used as a striker though as Chris Smith cant walk at the moment!! Not good

Was that who came off early doors? David can certainly play upfront, he has the skills, speed and eye for goal, just needs the confidence and indeed arrogance you need as a forward.

Yeah, the boy knows where the net is 4 in pre season already to add to his 44 last year. Will be missed but we have a stronger squad this year, but could do without injuries in pre season, left back broke his foot on Sat thats why i was filling in this evening.

Sadly Chris Smith has fractured his ankle as well, wish him and Gilesy speedy recovery's.

WATCHED egham v uxbridge. 1-1 it was a good pre season game. egham had paul borg in goal as well as dale marvel, also a second half sub was scott todd. who i thought it had been annouced had signed for ashford town.

Wasn't aware of a new rule allowing 2 players to be in goal at the same time  dance%20%282%29.gif

heard they brought the rule in for you jurgs. if someone could take your crosses, and take your goal kicks. think how much better you would be.coffee%20%282%29.gif

That's very unlucky. Best wishes for his recovery. I don't even remember it happening, was it a bad tackle?

Nope 50/50 block tackle, i thought nothing of it either next thing he was limping off.

Speedy recovery Chris need you back asap!

To confirm I have spoken with my player who also said it was as Molly said a block tackle. He has asked me to pass on his best wishes to Chris. Sorry to hear this news and I also wish him a fast recovery.

What were your thoughts on the game padlock?

Hiya Bommie

I did reply to your post last night with a brief overview of the game.

To extend a little on my initial thoughts I thought it was a solid workout but with limited football played mainly due to the surface having an inch or two of extra grass of which obviously slowed the ball up on the deck. We were pretty much at full strength to be honest so there is sure room for improvement that we can address in the next couple of weeks prior to KO. I know a few of the park players and their abilities so game plan was to limit the time they had on the ball and press them high up the pitch as soon as possible. I think our back line were reasonably comfortable against the trickery of Lavery and power of the big fella. Our full backs were given a torrid time first half hour but eventually realised the task in hand. We did not move the ball over short space in the middle and too often looked for the money shot long of which Guscott and Co South Park CB dealt with for most part. We had a 17 year old left back make his debut who I think did not look out of place and who possesses a wand of a left peg. Our front line will soon start to form a partnership where their energy will undoubtedly cause sussex 2 defenders problems. There were a few tasty challenges but nothing in way of malice IMO. Next stop Ifield saturday. Just desperate for the first real game. Shame we didn't catch up but you are always welcome just give me a nod and your names on the gate.
