The Toolstation Western League has issued a statement on Friday evening to all member clubs that Dawlish Town have withdrawn their membership of the League.

 

The release reads: -

 

“ We have received verbal notification that Dawlish Town have withdrawn their membership of the Western League. We have no further confirmed details. It will be necessary to rearrange the fixtures. We very much regret the loss of this senior club but had no option but to accept their resignation.

I wonder how many other teams could go out of non-league either before or during the season - sadly I do not think Dawlish Town AFC will be the last.
